Not Quite on the Safe Side

Father of Cathar Kaiju
We were in trouble.

Taking on another Hutt by making our way into his chambers, and taking blueprints of some kind of special weapon, we were tasked with stealing it. Why? Because I was being paid for it. As well as the other people here. A young girl with an old Droid from the Clone Wars era, as well as a Bounty Hunter who I was so tempted to leave behind for our fall. Would make a get away for the girl and myself much easier considering the bounty hunter was being an ass, and was slow as chit.

Why was he slow? All the armor and weapons he was trying to steal with the blueprints. We were running down the halls as guards ran after us firing their blasters through the area. Turning around a corner, I ushered the B2 battle droid onwards with the girl and provided covering fire to the bounty hunter as he ran. I could hear the sirens over the loud speakers going off. Warning all that people were trying to make an escape.

"What the hell! Keep your ass moving!"

The bounty hunter just threw me a few curses as he ran past me. I continued to fire my own rifle back at him. Slamming to more into the floor with the power of the rifle. Turning around the corner, the blaster bolts slamming into the wall I used as cover, I reached to my vest. Pulling a thermal detonator, Pressed the button, and cooked it for two seconds before throwing it.

I didn't even wait as I ran towards the hangar. The HK unit in the ship turning on the engines and was already making the ship float with the ramp just a few feet off the ground. With ease I made up for the time they were running with my increased speed, as well as my jump pack to push me faster. Closing the distance within seconds. I hopped onto the ramp and leaned down. The girl was there needing help in due to her smaller stature. I got on my knees and almost yanked her up, followed by the both of us picking up her droid.

The bounty hunter was there. Tossing up weapons and armor into the ramp. He was tossing them and was about to climb on himself when I walked over and stood above him. The ship was already getting higher and higher off the ground slowly as the Hutt's men were reaching the hall and started to fire on us.

"Sorry buddy. Just a little too slow."

I placed my boot on his hand. He started cursing out at me as I pressed down, and pushes his hand to let go. He fell about three meters to the ground. Slamming hard into the dirt. Cursing at me as he yanked out his side arm and fired at the ship. I walked back up into the ship and closed the ramp as we were speeding away. Letting the rifles and the armor plating slide down the ramp and into the cargo hold of the ship.

Terys watched in horror as Sage kicked the bounty hunter off the ramp, absolutely no remorse in the metal man's actions. She remained where she was, frozen in shock, until the sound of the ramp closing snapped her out of it.

"What the kark was that?!" she exclaimed, limping over to him. A couple bolts had grazed her side and her thigh, burning through her clothes and the flesh. While the wounds weren't deep, movement was still painful. Shiny walked with her, starting to protest her movements, but she waved him off.

Staring up at the metal man, who was almost two feet taller than her, the young woman scowled. "You could have pulled him up! Why did you let him fall?" She kicked away one of the pieces of metal, cursing in a very unladylike way. "If you weren't metal I'd punch you," Terys added under her breath.

The blonde shook her head, a hand over her side. "Honestly. It's a good thing Shiny--" She was going to say, "It's a good thing Shiny has a copy of those blueprints," but a sudden thought made her pause. Turning back to Sage, her other hand resting on her pistol, she watched the metal man with wary eyes. Yes, true, Jorvann was lagging behind because of his greed, but he was still on the ramp; they still could have pulled him up. Hell, Sage alone could have pulled him up no problem. And yet, the droid still chose to let him fall. But why? Was it because he didn't like Jorvann? Or was it because now, the cut would only be split two ways, instead of three?

Was she next?

"Nevermind," Terys said coolly, making a subtle gesture at Shiny to move to her injured side. "Do you need help moving these things? Or is it alright if I patch myself up?"
