Corvus Raaf
Adieu...

Corvus had never visited Ryloth before. She knew as much as the next space-traveller about the planet – it was harsh, rocky and the homeworld of the Twi’leks.
What she learned as she travelled was that one side of the planet was perpetually facing the sun and the other remained in permanent darkness. She also found out this was known as tidal locking. Today she was heading to the Lonely Five Range – a series of mountains that housed the large subterranean city of Kala’uun. Situated on the twilight between light and dark, the atmosphere was breathable but she’d been warned it was thin and to avoid being outside when either the extremely high winds (up to 500 kmh) or heat storms (with temperatures up to 300 degrees Celcius) struck.
The planet had its dark moments too. She remembered from history how the Brotherhood of Darkness operated a Sith Academy here that specialised in producing Sith Assassins. And it was a planet that had more than its fair share of challenges with slavery.
But today her reason for travelling was far more mundane. So as she approached the tunnel that travelled underground and would provide access via a massive portcullis to the city, she smoothed the hem of her robes with the palms of her hands. Today she was to talk to a group of schoolchildren abut the Republic Jedi and about the history that intertwined the Jedi Order and the planet historically. Younglings she had extensive experience of. Children in general? None.
