Nostrum Treatments Incorporated offers affordable medical care and services to the public all across the Outer Rim and beyond, a fact exemplified by their very logo consisting of lettering in both Aurebesh and Outer Rim Basic. Whether that be in the form of providing actual medical care and facilities themselves by operating their own hospitals and clinics, supplying existing such institutions and systems with their products such as their very own brand of Bacta or drugs like Vivatherin or Neuroprenoline, or conducting non-profit charity services for the underprivileged and downtrodden of the galaxy.
NTI doesn't do their work entirely out of the goodness of their hearts however. In reality they are a front used by the Order of Wonosa to spread their influence in a more civilized and unlikely manner, unlike the similar Sanguine Defense Works. Nostrum Treatments offer their services to worlds, stations, and areas that the Wonosans wish to establish some sort of presence or influence on and uses their medical care to not only gather information on the populace and their circumstances but also subtly spread their ideology among the people that they assist. They do also simply use the front company to secure manufacturing opportunities for their own medical services and products as well of course, as well as another legitimate source of income.
In spite of the company as a front, Nostrum Treatments does often go out of its way to ensure that all have access to their services and care to the best of their abilities. Typically they will sign a contract with whatever local authorities they need to in order to establish offices of their own or simple supply chains and from their will begin gradually spreading their reach to make the populace more reliant upon them and thus more susceptible to their hidden messaging and recruitment.
RATIONALE
It was made on order of Darth Strosius and is almost entirely composed of his followers and staff working under his directives. It is meant not only to supply his forces but also to further their goals of tending to the downtrodden of the galaxy. Through their offices they have made attempts at recruiting more to their cause however, or at the very least spreading and inciting sentiments that align with their cause if nothing else.
