DESCRIPTION

Noctis Automata is the droid division of VesperWorks—a surgical blend of synthetic warfare design, predictive AI, and brutalist industrial aesthetics. It exists deep within the hollowed arteries of Polis Massa's inner shipyards, where light rarely reaches and machine-minds are born in silence. Noctis specializes in creating droids that should not exist—models unbound by protocol limitations, conscience matrices, or public ethics charters.

Its catalog includes infiltration units capable of imitating sentient behavior down to micro-expressions, warforms designed to operate without centralized control, and excavation droids meant to recover, decrypt, and repurpose technology deemed too dangerous by most galactic standards. Many are designed to serve directly aboard VesperWorks ships, acting as crew, saboteurs, sentinels, and sometimes, pilots. Others are dispatched on independent missions, often without returning—by design.

To the galaxy, these machines are ghost assets. To Serina Calis, they are the hidden scaffolding of empire.

RATIONALE

As Serina Calis expanded her ambitions beyond ships and stations, the need for obedient, intelligent, and expendable assets became paramount. Organic personnel were flawed—prone to fear, corruption, or sentiment. VesperWorks could build the ships, but she needed machines to crew them. Machines without loyalty to anything but the code etched into their synthetic minds.

Leveraging ancient Rakatan blueprints, old CIS data, Sith alchemical studies, and declassified schematics, Serina formed Noctis Automata as the natural evolution of her doctrine: dominance without exposure, war without noise, control without compromise.

Funded through off-ledger accounts linked to Atramentum and backed by research stolen from Jedi, Sith, and private think tanks alike, Noctis began production quietly.

Noctis Automata represents Serina's rejection of the Jedi ideal of sapience. It is not here to elevate machines. It is here to use them—utterly, absolutely, without apology.
