No Time For Caution

A Jedi does not cling to sorrow.

She had always had high aspirations, dreaming of doing something that would change the Galaxy for the better. But could she be Jedi? They had always seemed some mystical order, a group of people far more in touch with life and control than she could ever be. But she wanted to be. She wanted to make a difference, to carve evil from the Galaxy in the same way her parents had been determined to find a better place than their home.

“Thank you,” she said, not realizing she was projecting a feeling of immense gratitude through the telekinetic communication. Words were words, but they meant much to Olivia. She could hold them when she could hold nothing else. She was tired, almost unable to respond beyond an affirmative noise over their link before the Jedi Master went back to his business, but Olivia caught his last comment, that he could understand her grief. Where another may have been insulted, may have flown to the knee-jerk reaction to say “how could you possibly understand”, the brunette just closed her eyes and fell to unconsciousness.

Who did he lose?

_____________________________________________________
She’d neglected to mention that she had never been off Hapes in her entire life to the Master – now her Master – the day before. The medical team had been very careful to steer her in the right direction despite the fact that the port itself was only a short distance from the medical center – in fact, it was right in sight. But once she was down in the crowds rushing either way, she lost sight. She knew most major areas of Hapes like the back of her hand but already this planet had offered something terrifying in the form of “night”. She’d awoken from her exhausted sleep completely blind: on a planet with almost no night, she’d been frightened by the darkness outside her window.

She eventually found her way to the spaceport after asking anyone who’d help her for directions. Once there she undertook another task: find the Dorin Run. That, thankfully, ended up being faster as she’d seen it once before, rushing towards something familiar when she spotted the personal ship and its owner.

“Master Karr,” she said, wincing at the throbbing in her head as her flurry of movement caught up with her. “It was an adventure just getting here,” she said almost shyly, wondering how she’d ever handle the wide Galaxy if Onderon was so much a challenge.

OOC: And...then...I got food poisoning. Sorry for the extra delay on this! Worst Padawan status. :p

SORRY!!! I lost track of this thread!

Between meetings and preparation to leave Onderon and return to Ossus, Kian hadn't had much time to think over Olivia. But now, standing below the ramp of the Dorin Run and speaking with the maintenance droid, Kian had the chance to ponder over everything that had happened. He felt for the girl, especially today. Leaving with Kian meant leaving behind her parents, who had died upon the capital of the Republic. He was sure that while a part of her probably looked forward to getting distance between this planet and herself, she also felt a connection to the planet.

These thoughts were pushed aside, however, when Kian felt the girl approaching and heard her calling him. Turning back toward Olivia, Kian waived away the droid and met her as she approached.

"I apologize, I should have sent someone to guide you here." Kian said crossing his arms behind his back. "But you are here now." He said turning and stretching out an arm to lead her toward the ship.

"How are you feeling?" Kian asked, knowing that it wouldn't be an easy question to answer. Physically she was likely still sore but mending. Mentally, after facing the loss of her family, who knew how she was handling it. Kian had experienced loss himself and understood all to well the empty, numb feeling it could live in the pit of your stomach. He knew well the scars it could leave. It had taken him years and the Jedi to fully come to grips with it.
