No Cliffs Here

Soliael smiled at his sister. “Take all the time you need, our house is always open to you.”

Aela had stopped on one particular page, staring at a picture of a dress. When her father spoke however she looked up at him, narrowing her eyes slightly before looking at her aunt. There was a slight hint of recognition, and then excitement before her eyes returned to the picture that she had chosen.

“mhmmm.”

She made a noise, turning the booklet towards Amorella.

On the page that she had chosen was an odd sort of dress. Bright orange swirls dashed through a sea of black, covering the chest and leading down across the stomach, as though they were claw marks scratching down the length of the dress.

“This one.”

There was an odd pride to her voice as she looked up at Amorella expectantly.

"Oooh, that's perfect," an affirming nod from Amore, "I'll get started on it as soon as I have all the rest of the materials I need."

This...was an exciting moment! Little Aela taking her first steps towards showing the Lady she kept hidden within. To think all it took was a few well-placed secrets.

"It will take me some time to make it, but I'll bring it to you when I'm finished."

"Bright One," a voice sounded at the door, "your meal is ready in the solar."

"Wonderful, I'm starving, how about you? Let's go eat - and you can tell me all the things Oma Qui is teaching you."

Soliael smiled, and Aela jumped up from the table.

The little girl had naught but starship food, which of course amounted to ration bars and not much else. Aela ran out of the room before Amorella could even begin to move.

The former False god smiled at his daughter, looking to his sister as she walked towards the dining room. For a second he just sat there, enjoying his thoughts. He liked seeing Aela like this, he liked seeing Amorella happy. He smiled to himself, standing up from the table and walking after his two loved ones, wishing that his wife was there.

For the rest of the evening, Soliael stayed silent.

He said not a word as his daughter told Amorella of everything and anything in her life. What Quietus had taught her, what talents she ahd been exhibiting in the force, what Micah and Maleah had been doing. Everything was divulged in far more detail than before. All throughout Aela held a smile on her face.
