BIOGRAPHY:
Nivian Dorne is a rear admiral in the Naval military branch of the Valderan government. Born aboard the civilian colony ship Trident, he took after his father and applied to a prestigious naval academy in Valdera's capital city Nereon at 18. Graduating at 23 he served as ensign for 3 years before his promotion to lieutenant. At the age of 38 he had risen through the ranks and was finally promoted to Captain after successfully routing several pirate vessels while his superior was incapacitated. In 841 BBY Nivian was given a great opportunity to show his prowess in naval combat during the battle of Helena fields, in which he turned the tide of a surprise attack and forced his opponents into the asteroid field from which they came. Forcing them into locations dense in asteroids, he finished off what was left of the fleeing enemy that the asteroids had not already pulverized. He was promoted to rear admiral soon after his decisive victory.
