STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Mental Immunity: Like other Hellyni, Nik naturally is immune to all mental attacks.
+ Calculating: Nik plays the long game using tactics and calculations to ensure his plans whether in the battlefield or in other endeavors. While others aim to plan two to three steps ahead Nik aims for ten.
- Broken: Due to spending a year being tortured at the hands of the Attikians, Nik has returned with a few quirks such as seeming to talk to himself.
- Sadistic: Another quirk Nikias has returned with is his sick pleasure in torturing others making them experience the same thing he once had though he tries to repress it.
-Thrill Seeker: Nik has a love for battle that could match a Spathi.
- Disloyal: Nikias is one of those beings that one couldn’t depend on unless it was to his own benefit and would stab one in the back to save his life… Even family.
- Siblings: While disloyal Nikias still loves his siblings more than anything in the galaxy and would destroy anything that stood in the way of him protecting or rescuing them.
- Power Hungry: Nikias is incredibly power hungry and it shows in his planning of his fathers downfall.
- Paranoid: Nikias is constantly worrying about someone else betraying him or plotting his fall so he's almost constantly on edge.
- Recognizable: Due to his unnatural appearance it is incredibly easy to spot Nik even from a distance.
-Stubborn: Like most of the others of his species Nik is incredibly stubborn never knowing when to back down in an argument and willing to push the issue till others either see it his way or change his mind.
-Untrusting: It takes time… A lot of time for Nik to trust anybody hence his lack of friends outside his sibling. Everyone else are simple tools to keep at arm’s reach and use as he wills it.
-Poison: During his torture sessions Nik had been injected with a poison created by the Attikans that can drive him into a wild frenzy whenever he gets to upset or angry. It was also this poison that changed the color of his sclera.
-Telepathy: While Nikias is immune to mild altering attacks and illusions this also keeps him from using those same powers.
-Sense Abilities: Outside the Common Danger sense most force users have Nikias is unable to use the more advanced Force powers like Farsight, Vision, and force sight.
APPEARANCE:
Nikias is far from the average looking Hellyni, almost everything about his appearance goes against what is known for his people. No longer does he have his raven black hair; it had been lost during the time he’d been tortured at the hands of the Attikans. Now his hair is a stark white that is kept cut short as Nikias finds long hair to be a hindrance in combat. Usually Nikias forgoes shaving for a while and thick stubble can be seen on his chin, the same color as his hair. One thing many will notice about Nikias upon their first meeting besides his hair is his intense eyes. Flames seem to burn in the golden eyes, and his black sclera have been known to scare or set people on edge. This is far from natural for his people and only happened due to the poison that had been injected into him that still lingers in his blood. Other than those Nikias seems like a normal person, his body is in great shape as expected of one that finds themselves in battle, however his back is heavily scarred from the torture he suffered.
BIOGRAPHY:
Nikias was the second born child. to the great king Vinikas, as such he did not acquire his father’s namesake instead it was passed on to his elder brother. Nikias was always in his brother’s shadow since birth, everything he did was compared to his brothers. Nikias wasn’t as good as a warrior, nor was he as charming. In some ways it seemed as though Vinikas the Seventh hated Nikias for not being like his older brother. Often times whenever Vinikas VII held meetings or threw parties Nikias was banned from attending while his elder brother was shown off to the entire kingdom and toted to be the next heir to the throne. Nikias wouldn’t have minded such things however the siblings that came after him were treated in a similar way, and the days their father returned home drunk it was Nikias that suffered the beatings. Not his mother, not his siblings, but Nikias. If an error was made on the battlefield it was inevitably Nikias’ fault.
Even suffering such treatment Nikias cared for his siblings, especially his older brother. He idolized Vinikas VIII as a brother and father figure. They were thick as thieves and while Vinikas did not question their father Nikias couldn’t blame him. None dare stand up to the king of Makrosia, not even his own children for fear of death. Just as the King of Makrosia must lead his armies to war so to must his sons join him in battle when they came of age. Vinikias VIII had served in battle since reached the age fifteen, and so too did Nikias. The two made quite a pair on the battlefield, but no matter how good one thought they were they could still be defeated. Even with being better warriors than the Attikans Vinikias VIII and Nikias had been trapped due to an error on their father’s part. Being taken hostage by the Attikan’s they were held hostage and used as leverage against Makrosia. During the negotiations with Vinikias VII his sons were both tortured at the hands of the Attikan’s as they tried to acquire all the knowledge the two siblings held.
Day in and day out for over a year the two were tortured, their hair losing its natural black color and turning Stark white. Though the only thing Vinikias VII loved more than his firstborn was his power. Not willing to negotiate the Attikan’s abandoned their task of using the two as leverage and decided to kill one of the siblings and release the other. Though not in the regular way, but through trial of combat. They forced Vinikias VIII and Nikias to face each other and to ensure it they injected both siblings with a poison that would send them into a wild frenzy. The battle was long and fierce, for every attack Nikias threw Vinikias had thrown three. Vinikias was the better warrior, smarter, and in the end was the kinder one as well. Breaking through the effects of the poison for just a bit Vinikias impaled himself upon his brother’s saber. Not to be a hero or to die in honor, but to save the brother he loved. This was what broke Nikias, more than the torture, more than the poison that is in his blood. Watching his brother die in his arms is what broke Nikias.
Returned to Makrosia a broken and battered man Nikias was never looked at the same. Without Vinikias VIII to cast a shadow Nikias was recognized as his own person. As the one that had been returned by the Attikans and as such was a mark of dishonor upon his family name to have been captured by them. Much less to have not brought home his brother. The only ones to not blame Nikias were his remaining siblings. Everyone else, his mother, and father despised him. When fit to return to battle Nikias was thrown into what could be considered suicide engagements against the Attikan’s. Fighting not only for himself, but for revenge Nikias survived each one. However, he was no fool, he saw what his father was doing. He blamed his father for Vinikias VIII’s death. Now a part of Nikias plots his father's downfall and will stop at nothing to see the plan come to fruition. Though the nikias in control tries to fight this urge, thus has left the planet to find the only people that could possibly help him.
