DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
Aside from being exceptionally beautiful (at least to their creator), these eyes provide enhanced vision to Ashin Karrde, Lethia’s first (willing) customer. Designed specifically to respond to Ashin, these eyes are useless in the hands (or eye sockets) of anyone but the woman herself. Assuming anyone would want to steal them in the first place, which is horribly unlikely.
Strengths
+ Open your Eyes – The main purpose of the augmentation. Ashin can, with her new and improved eyes, see minute detail with exceptional clarity, and can even see in the dark – although her vision without light is monochrome.
+ Blood Ties – In the unlikely event that someone plucks Ashin’s eyes from her head in some strange attempt to use them as their own, they would be out of luck – the Dark Magics infused within the eyes will respond only to the intended user’s will.
Weaknesses
- Glaringly Obvious – As with all of Lethia’s work, there is absolutely nothing subtle about this augmentation. Anyone with half a functioning brain could tell that having two sets of iris and pupil in each eye is not normal for almost any species.
- Light Sensitivity – Bright lighting will make Ashin dizzy, disoriented, and can even cause pain in the form of headaches. As well, sudden flashes (such as that of a camera) can cause her temporary blindness.
- Dark Side Voodoo – These were enhanced using Dark Side magic; Ashin would do well to stay away from anything excessively Light oriented. Not a massive disadvantage for a Dark Jedi, but something still worth noting.
DESCRIPTION
The History behind Nightsight is fairly basic – Ashin walked into Lethia’s shop and asked for a particular function, and Lethia complied. Plucked fresh from Ashin’s skull, Lethia began work on the eyes immediately – a bit of fleshcrafting for aesthetic purposes first, giving the eyes their distinctive, striking appearance. Next up came the actual enchanting. Using an eccentric blend of Primeval Space Voodoo, Sith Alchemy, and her own personal flair, Lethia bestowed upon these otherwise dull sensory organs enhanced function and capability. Of course, like all things, it came at a price; the powers used in the enchanting process were Dark by nature, and as such, are vulnerable to such feats as Force Light. Beyond that, Ashin’s new and improved eyesight is also simply more sensitive to bright lights and sudden flashes.
