SPECIAL FEATURES

 • Advanced Mass Sensor: Operates just like a normal Mass Sensor, but the Nightgaunt’s onboard navicomputer also checks if mass shadows match the calculated values of nearby celestial objects. As such, the Advanced Mass Sensor can detect large interdiction fields with approximately 30% accuracy.

 • Long-range Repulsor Sensor: Can detect and triangulate the repulsorlift fields of nearby ships. While the Long-range Repulsor Sensor works at larger distances than Repulsor Mines, the target ship must still be within a few kilometres. Additionally, the sensor takes a minimum of 3 minutes to scan for repulsor signatures in a local area.

 • UV/IR/X-ray Sensor.

 • RID-65 Ultra-Long-Range Radio Sensor Array.

 • Long Range Directional Transceiver: A device used to range and locate tracking beacons. Long range variant has range of 1000 kilometres, and accuracy of 10 square kilometres.

 • Disruptor Array.
 • Generation 1 Disruptor Array.

 • Long Range Radar Dish.

 • Hibridium Cloaking Device (Modular.)
Strengths:

 • Sophisticated Sensors: The Nightgaunt-Class is outfitted with a range of long-ranged and powerful sensors used to detect other ships and also to avoid them.

 • Cloaking Device: A Hibridium Cloaking Device allows the Nightgaunt to briefly turn near-invisible.

 • Hyperspace Detection/Disguising: A Mass Sensor and Generation 1 Disruptor Array allow the ship to detect large interdiction fields with limited accuracy, and to hide the ship’s signature as it travels through hyperspace.
Weaknesses:

 • Delicate Equipment: While the ship has average hull defences, the disc that houses the ship’s myriad sensors is very delicate. If the sensor array sustains fire from weapons while unshielded, it can easily sustain critical damage.

 • Low Firepower: Aside from a few laser cannons, the Nightgaunt has little it the way of offensive capabilities, and is severely undergunned for a ship of its class. This is due to the requirement of the ship’s systems to siphon large amounts of power.

Description:
Cargo Capacity: 15 tonnes.
Passengers: Up to 20 passengers + crew.
Consumables: 1 year
Crew: 22

 • 4 cockpit crew.

 • 4 reserve crew.

 • 6 maintenance staff.

 • 2 janitorial staff.

 • 4 communications officers.

 • 2 gunners.

The Nightgaunt class is a Stealth Corvette, and the first starship designed under the supervision of the directors of Project Nebula. The Nightgaunt is bristling with sensors, and is designed to be the eyes and ears of a task force in battle, or as an infiltrator, carefully avoiding and disarming traps as it roves further and further into enemy territory. It is the first of a line of equipment designed to prepare the FOSB for upcoming conflicts, and a new age of First Order dominance.
