SPECIAL FEATURES

Strengths:
+Small Target- The Nightcrawler is a tiny droid, with a very thin profile. It is difficult to notice, and even more difficult to hit, in addition to being able to squeeze through walls. In addition, due to its small size, they give off barely any energy readings, adding to its stealthiness.
+Sabotage Mastery- This droid was created for a specific reason; to sabotage. It's combination of destructive tools, limited knowledge of technology, and ability to move unseen makes it the perfect agent of chaos under the floorboards of the enemy.
+Theoretical Pilot- To optimally disable a ship, each Nightcrawler has limited knowledge on ship's systems. In a pinch, working in tandem, they can be used to pilot a ship, although the processing power needed to do this will drain their batteries quickly.
+Spike, No Punch- A Nightcrawler has storage space in it's memory for a data spike, which it can carry and deliver, to assist in it's hacking. These spikes are one-use, but the droid will still function after the spike is delivered.

Weaknesses:
-Weak Target- While finding it is difficult, once it is found, it is simple to destroy. Anyone with good aim and a blaster pistol can disable this droid. An EMP pulse will also do the trick, at the risk of whatever tech is in the vicinity.
-Need Instructions- To assist with their stealth, they have no communication gear on them. If sent away, they are given a task, and will endeavor to perform that task until they are given new instructions, often to their doom.
-Slow Going- The amount of legs is not directly connected to the speed of the droid, it seems. It will take them a while to reach any target, so the closer one can get to the target upon deployment, the better.
-Not Exactly Subtle- When this thing messes with a system, the system operator will know about it. It will cut wires, short-circuit boards, and do its best to make an irreparable mess. This means once they start their work, the offended will know about it, and might have time to do something about it, if they're quick enough.

DESCRIPTION

Created with the patronage of the Eternal Empire of Zakuul, these small droids are no technological marvel. Small, segmented bodies that are perfect for crawling in walls, tiny technological instruments to assist in getting in said walls and messing with equipment, and enough memory space to follow orders and do simple improvisation. Their beauty lies in their simplicity; small, easy to transport, and destructive.

They can be released in swarms, or as individual units, where they will be given vocal instructions, or have been pre-programmed with orders. They can use their fusioncutters to burrow into the floor, into walls, into ceilings, and make their way to the intended target. Then, when they reach their target, they'll use all their tricks to make things absolutely awful for whoever's running the datacomputer, or ship terminal, or power-armor that the infestation finds itself in.
