Personality and beliefs: Like most of the Redmond Clan, staunchy loyal to the GE and it's values militant, and adventurous. Loyal to his family and their anscestor religion.
Strengths: Great Pilot.
Weaknesses
Paperwork/Admin: Finds reports/documentation tedious, suffers for it with command on ocassion.
Empathetic: Cares a little too much about his passengers for someone in his role.
History: Born on Balmorra before the turn, young Nigel had spent his years as most Republic youth. Spending more than a few years staring out school windows at the factories that colored the planet's skylines in hues of rust. He dreamed of the time his fathers and forefathers told him of, a time when his family had served humanity properly. To avoid the typical fate of endless factory labor, Nigel served in the GA Navy after he came of age and quickly found himself swept up in the nationalist sentiment spreading on world at the time. Along with most of his family, he joined the Centerist party. In the ensuing conflict he developed a taste and skill for flying low and fast. He was luckier than many of his fellows, coming out of the confict unscathed, physically speaking. Having no desire for civilian life, he joined the newly reformed Imperial Navy. Nigel married a Navy Ensign Maria, and the two had a pair of children Edmond and Mallory. Who when the parents are deployed, spend their time in the Redmonds large, communial house on Balmorra, where the entire extended family lived, allowing them to maintain strong family ties in spite of demanding military schedules.
Nigel has spent his time since re-uping moving between different fleets, and enjoying the leave he gets with his family between deployments. Keeps in touch with his cousin Vauban and his nephew Lee thru the holonet and his family back home. Besides that he prays and enjoys whatever comforts he's allowed, a relatively simple man. On the battlefield he is fanatical about both taking out targets in his gunship, or delievering them in his transport. Over the years he's seen a fair bit he'd prefer not to, and tends to regulate such events to fate or the will of the Gods.
