Nicair Claden took up the mantle of Qer'ak shortly after taking up the role as Alor of his adoptive father's clan. Neither were roles he much wanted but rather were positions he felt were required of him. While certain elements of the positions began to grow on him, and changes were possible to be made among the Sociph and Antisoch's government under his rule, his armor needed to reflect both his position and the dangers that went along with it. The title Qer'ak named after the ancient myth of Qerak, the paragon of what it is to be Sociph and the destroyer of the old and depraved pantheon of Sociph gods, essentially translates into "Iron Heart" or "Iron Hearted." For the Sociph, this is both a sign of their begrudging respect and a warning for those with the title. To survive as a Qer'ak the individual's heart would be better suited by being made of metal, due to the sheer number of blades that are going to try and find their way to it.
Claden's armor, using an old method of Force-Smithing once lost to the modern Sociph for their far lower than average number of force-users allows him to still use the metal of his planet, while maintaining much the same resistances as his adoptive people's beskar.
While certainly one of his more restrictive armors in exchange for sheer protective power, it still allowed him to fight in his usual method of close combat while still maintaining relative mobility. Like with all beskar armor, the joints and neck are the weaker areas and though Nicair attempted to reduce the amount of likelihood such areas would be vulnerable, such a thing is impossible while maintaining his desired method of fighting.
Though the force-smithing process took a good deal out of him, once his masterwork had been complete he look on it with a pride he'd rarely felt before.
