Strengths:
  • Heavy Impact: Though only a corvette the NH15 carries quite the significant fire power, but is much more nimble an quick, perfect for hit and run tactics on enemy capital ship.
  • Wings: Placing the quad-turbo laser batteries on wings jutting from the ships side allows for less blind spots, focus fire and easy repair if damaged in combat.
Weaknesses:
  • Star Fighters: The lack of anti star fighter weapons (for a corvette) means the NH15 can be vulnerable to swam tactics that can overwhelm its defenses.
Description:
With the NH10 out an in production, able to be a more all rounder craft HSCS now turned focus onto more specialized rolled ships that can be used as a larger part of a fleet. Once more the company took inspiration from the CR series of ships over time deriving a similar design to the CR90, but making it more suited to ship to ship combat. The over hall and redesign made a ship that looked similar to the hammer head but kept the CR look, sporting impressive fire power while still keeping the quick and nimble feel about it. Though such use of certain materials and system to produce said ship making it's production a little limited.

Operational Use
Unlike it sister (NH10) the new NH15 is suited for direct ship to ship engagement, the quad turbo lasers providing devastating fire power against corvettes of similar size, and still being a potentiate threat for even larger ships. In a sense the NH15 is less of a corvette/light infantry and more like the space equivalent of Dragoons (mounted line infantry that would ride to battle, dismount and fight normally). Such a ship is able to quickly arrive where needed and provide much needed fire power. Still much like ground Dragoons lacks the full advantages of a proper ship of the line, mainly defense.

Defenses
The defenses of the NH15 are quite standard, not having the sloped armor of the NH10, putting it on par with the CR90 in terms of shielding and armor. Still such a ship was not entirely designed for taking hits, though being more battle oriented still mainly place in a supporting role. As such captains should make sure to use the ships speed and maneuverability to avoid larger ships and also try to keep close proximity to anti-star fighter ships to ward off swarms.

From the starship template:

Armament: (You may provide your armament in list format and must provide your vessel an Armament Rating. (Choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, Moderate, High, Very High, Extreme. Armament Ratings are scaled in relation to the class of ship, meaning a Starfighter will not equate to a Destroyer. For example an average 900m ship will outgun an average 600m ship. Armament Ratings provide only basic weaponry unless the ship also has a description of weapons. Please link to all Factory Submissions used. Links: Starship Weapons, Approved Technology)
This wording essentially means that the armament scale can't be used to cross classes: it may be well-armed for a corvette, but we can't say that it has a typical frigate's firepower in it, especially at "moderate".

Same thing here.
