STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
  • Mega Hit: The 16 front mounted torpedo tubes gives the NH-SF a shocking amount of fire power which it can pour onto a single target. This only being added to with it's.
  • 360 Defense: The ability to have all it's laser/blaster cannons on 360 degree swivels allows it to take on most attacking interceptors no matter what direction they are coming from.
Weaknesses:
  • Slow Go: The large size of the ship due to it's payload and defensive armor/armaments means the craft is not so capable of high speed or sharp turns as the case with most bombers.
  • Big Target: Though it's decent shielding and armor are good it can't protect the craft forever and it's large size and payload makes the ship a large target that can easily go up in flames it hit enough.
Description:
The NH-SF was the last of the fighter line from the HSCS section of HCLI, the main design aspect behind the fighter being a craft capable of transporting a huge payload into combat without to making it to bulky and with a good deal of protection. The resulting model was a tall think ship, with the elongated nose housing the torpedo/missile tubes making it able to bear 16 tubes onto a target with a secondary round ready to be loaded once fired. This giving a ship a payload of 22 missile/torpedoes depending on the load out, which can be customized (e.g. having half proton torpedoes the rest ion, some concussion etc).

Operational Use
One could easily see such a large ship is intended for a bomber/assault role, from it's front mounted armament to it's swiveling weapons on the bottom and facing back. It's massive payload making the ship more and antiquate to take on long range bombing runs attack more then one target at a time, an ideal weapon to use in an air battle where you need to break though and enemy blocked and the attack a ground target. To a smaller extent, if it's payload if left out the ship can act as a heavy fighter, but this is more a last ditch sort of tactic.

Defenses
Due to the large payload the ship needs strong armor and good shielding to stay alive, least become a death trap for it's two man screw. Still the strong armor and strong shielding are only a part of it's defection with a decent amount of it's defense is coming from the ships laser/blaster cannons. The nose mounted ones able to turn in on a 360 swivel to keep enemy fighters off it's tails, complimented by the rear facing turret. Said rear facing weapons can also turn forwards to engage enemies that may be coming from other angles.
