Great River has created a new group called Great River.

Originally created as a support network for fugitive Jedi and their allies during the Yuuzhan Vong wars, the group has been revived by a small faction of independent Jedi help tackle various crisis of the modern era, most pressing being the galaxy spanning refugee crisis.
The major functions of Great River is as follows:

- Direct support to fellow Jedi and friendly parties on an ad hoc basis.
- Humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
- Providing shelter for refugees and all others in need.
- Blockade running and evacuations.
- Training resistance fighters and force users (light and neutral).
