DAY 1: FOUNDING & FIRST STEPS
TIME: EVENING

King's Park was a relatively calm a collected area. A river was not far off from the plot, which would provide the main water for irrigation and drinking for its residents. King Eddak had entrusted a Lord by the name of Ostdern Mastogar to oversee and build upon this mighty claim. No houses or buildings were on it yet, much work would need to be done. Slave work could easily be used, but Ostdern felt that if the residents built the city with him they'd appreciate it more. Surveyors were already looking to see how the soil was and what they could build there. Softer soil could dangerous for larger buildings, so everything must be checked before construction began.

Ostdern walked up without his Jedi Robes and Lightsaber. The Force had been frowned upon by Eddak. Teaching it would result in banishment and the stripping of the Lord title, so Ostdern masked his Jedi appearance. A white robe was worn around his body. It symbolized the peace he had with the world. He would try to keep his townsfolk at peace, but war was inevitable. One of the surveyors ran up to Ostdern with the soil report. "What is it sir?" Panting, the worker spoke. "The soil is in fact softer than we wanted. I recommend we raise all of our building about three feet or so above the ground." Ostdern patted him on the back. "Good work. I think for now we should set up camp and cook for our families. We've got a decent amount of wood, so a town hall should be built first. Once that's done, the mothers and children can play and tend to daily task while the rest of us work on building the houses and other buildings." The surveyor ran off towards the others to relay the message that camp should be set up. Dinner was fish caught from the streams, and was paired with a fresh salad prepared from plant growth around the settlement. Ostdern went to his tent, a large brown tent, and wrote in his journal.

Dear Whomever reads this,

This is to be the greatest journey of my life. So many have volunteered to be a part of such a great expansion to the King's land. I will not disappoint, or it'll be my head. Some time was spent with the chief surveyor today, I think Don was his name. He told me that the soil was a lot softer than what I wanted. I don't mind, raising the houses will only reduce the need for brick masons. A house on small stilts can also protect us from flood water to a certain extent. One major plus is that we've got a large river next to us. Irrigation will be much easier with a nearby waterway. I leave you with this, much is to be done, many will struggle, but in the end, we all shall prosper.

With Sincere Gratitude,
Lord Mastogar of King's Park
