Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Corellia.

Kay had come here a few times in the past. Usually it was on government business. But these days she didn't head a government anymore. On the contrary, she had been forced out of two Empires by the Sith. It wasn't as though Kay put herself in power. No. It was always others that did that. Now she had retired from politics. But whether or not it would remain that way was the question.

For now she busied herself with her own tea company. She had her own shop on Altiria and even a couple of hired hands. Lord Mayhem appeared whenever he wanted to as well to provide some ideas, some snarky comments and of course, a different perspectives. Not all of her teas could be referred to as the good kind. Some could control others, while some could kill. Some could heal while others could force the drinker to speak only truths. Superhuman strength was another side effect for one of her teas, as well as one that could numb out Force abilities entirely for a time.

Such a variety of side effects brought Kay a wide range of clientele; from crime lords to political figures, to arms dealers and everything in between. Purchases were made by the flat and the crate, some without any record of at all.

It was one of those deals that brought Kay to this planet. After attending a meeting, she walked the street with her hands in the pockets of her long jacket. She had no bodyguards with her for their was no need. For many she was dead, having been slated for execution by [member="Darth Tacitus"] before her escape. One of these days he'd find her, she knew that. But with the fall of her Empire on Zakuul after her government were beheaded, there was no risk to the Sith Lord that she had posed. On the contrary, her new path in life could seem more of a benefit.

Just as Kay was about to cross the street, a landspeeder cut right in front, causing her to step back into those behind her. Turning to apologize to the man she bumped into, a brow was raised. It was [member="Julius Sedaire"] . Although she had never met the man, she was sure that she had seen him somewhere before...

"Whoops. Sorry. It seems that some need to learn how to drive with their eyes open."

Startled wasn't a expression he was exactly used to wearing. Or that others had seen on his face often., If at all. But his mind had been elsewhere at the moment the two bumped into each other. Worried about the Order. Originally, and historically, it had been for Corellians and those alone. There was nothing pointedly xenophobic about it. Just a way of keeping identity and tradition alive. This time around, they seemed to have opened their doors, and the longer he remained with them, the less comfortably it sat.

Corellia had bled and bled for the Core. Always without resentment of the sacrifice. No demand or even want of a fanfare. But now the planets identity was being subsumed into a systemic cause. And honestly, as far as he could tell, the Confederation hadn't done much more in terms of stability and security than any other effort before it. And there were a few sticking points like the broadening of the Order which sat ill with him.

But he had given up his leadership role when he walked away, and had to remind himself it was for the best. Even if the others disliked the issue, it was on them to break their silence and champion their cause or discuss how best to handle differences? For himself, he remained a frequent visitor to the Temple, usually daily. But his actual residence had resumed at the house he and his former wife had bought in a nicer area of Coronet City, as well as overnights at the Green Devil' Inn as he began to rebuild his rag-tag group of rebel associates. Something productive had to come from somewhere until he figured out his next steps forward.

These were the thoughts within his mind as he strode out the Inn and plowed straight into [member="Kay Arenais"]. Reflexes quicker than his own thoughts reached out, and he had a steadying hand on her shoulder, asking if she was ok. She had aged, of course they both had, but even then Julius realized her face at least. Small galaxy, he supposed.

"My apologies. Some of us Corellians live with our heads in the stars too often. Are you alright?"

The accent was low, with a long drawl and twang. Being home, he did nothing to conceal or disguise it. Classic genteel Corellian.

"Well it's in the stars where most of the action in the Galaxy ise these days, so it's understandable." Of course Kay knew that [member="Julius Sedaire"] was probably just using a figure of speech, but she'd of responded in the same manner even if he wasn't.

She nodded in regards to his question, glad for his quick reflexes, otherwise they both would've taken a tumble. "I'm alright, thank you." Her eyes studied him as her mind tried to recall his name. "You're...Julius...aren't you?" Of course if she was wrong that'd be a funny story in itself. At least she had a good excuse for any lapses in her memory.

And then there was Mayhem. So far he hadn't shown himself yet. But it wasn't as though this trip would interest him anyways. It was probably too beneath him. And besides, he was probably too busy creating more teas with side effects that would keep her away from them.

A finger curled in a neatly trimmed beard, an a smile wrinkled across weathered features. He was not as old as he looked, but in this moment he felt centuries old. Weight, not in pounds but in memory and ghosts of his spirit weighted his shoulders now-a-days. Anyone had fought in War long enough gathered those sorts of shackles. But in this moment, the smile held. And for once it reached his eyes, even if briefly.

"Aye. That's me. For better or worse."

For a moment he eyed the street almost suspiciously, checking for enemies in the shadows. Two people with such pasts might attract attention. And with such a convenience as the erratic driver. A good set up for a kidnapping or murder. Posture eventually relaxed and eased, and he sighed as his face smoothed.

"I remember you being a bit out of this place, what brings you out this way? State business?"

Well at least she got his name right. That'd be embarrassing if she didn't. Her mind may be playing tricks on her lately, as she's been told, but surely not all of her memories were fabricated ones?

She watched [member="Julius Sedaire"] as he seemed almost paranoid of where they stood. That made her look around somewhat as well. But she didn't suspect that her enemies would find her here or anywhere, especially as most figured her for dead, just as many others who knew her certainly did. And under Veiere's suggestion, it was probably better that way. Although she doubted that anyone would actively search for her.

There was no reason to.

Kay shifted her attention back to Julius as he inquired about her reason for this venture. "No state business. Just business business. I own a tea company now. My time in politics is over." Her retirement from it all was probably long overdue.
