Nero Drake is a young pirate and outlaw on the Black Sun payroll. During his short career he has participated in the pirate conquest of Hapes and distinguished himself as a starfighter ace.
Raised on merchant's tall tales who frequented Level 1313 cantinas, Nero is a true believer in the Pirate's Code and old legends like the exploits of Hondo Ohnaka and Tak Rennod.
First Mate of a pirate as brutal and infamous as Captain Madclaw comes with a reputation to be feared and despite his young age Nero's voice already carries weight. Fearing other pirates won't follow a pretty boy he hides his true face behind a blast helmet which he hopes one day will strike fear into hearts throughout Wild Space.
Jedi. Sith. To Nero, they're the same thing. Just men and women with too much power, squabbling over religion while the galaxy burns. Like his father before him he is a skeptic, but unlike his father something inside of Nero is awake. This goes beyond mere scoundrel's luck. Since he was a boy and riding swoops came so natural, there is a power within him that grants his unerring sense of direction like an internal star compass.
Nero has a complicated and estranged relationship with his father. They have not spoken in many years. Bitter at the loss of his family's old fortune he is desperate to make his own. Reclaiming his stolen legacy has driven him to many lengths that prevent reconciliation.

No one cared who Nero was until he put on the mask. Now his new face strikes fear into hearts of entire star systems. Bonus: preserves his good looks in battle and makes his voice sound cool.
BRYAR PISTOL
Traded to him by a devaronian arms dealer for his old swoop engine back on Coruscant. This blaster is all Nero has left to remind him of the Dark Star Hellions gang he used to ride with.

Looks like a giant dagger-knife but strong enough to parry a lightsaber. Looted from an old tomb after a pirate raid.
RP82 FIEND FIGHTER
She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts. Nero works on fixing her up in his spare time. High performance engines and enough firepower to shoot down an X-Wing or TIE.
