OVERVIEWNekana Quane is a Zeltron/Shi'ido shapeshifter, dark-aligned Force adept, and product of the shadowy underworld of the galaxy.

HISTORYNekana Quane was born as a product of a liaison between the teenage Zeltron Magena Dray and the Shi'ido criminal Draven Quane, and was taken away to be raised by Draven, with Magena being told by her own father that the infant had died. As the daughter of one such as Draven, Nekana had little in the way of a childhood, growing up between various shadowports throughout the underbelly of the galaxy, and was instead a excruciatingly and thoroughly learned tool of her father from the time she could walk and was old enough to comprehend and carry out instructions.
Draven instilled the child with the belief that her mother had abandoned her, and that the woman was nothing of worth - just some whore - but it was the way Draven controlled and used his daughter that lead to the butting of heads as she moved into her teens, eventually culminating in a violent conflict that saw her running away from what passed for 'home' for good in her late teens.
What followed was learning how to survive on her own, an indeterminate number of hard days... months... and liquor and spice-fuelled nights, until she somehow found herself being made to come out of it by a Sith Lord that saw in her the possibility of all that she was. He spied her natural and nascent capabilities at play that she had honed in learning to make her way in the galaxy, though in truth he was drawn first by the possibilities of her shifting looks, simply coveting her as a thing for himself.
What came of this was an arrangement she entered into willingly, remaining his student and pet for as long as she could tolerate, for as long as it took to feel that she got what she wanted out of the deal, a time that stretched into years, though in his mind it was meant to be permanent.... much like being under the thumb of her father, the situation she found herself in began to chafe, and she left at the first opportunity, having grown vastly in her own power.
In the years since, she has further honed her craft in the only other world she has ever known, that vast galactic underbelly, consorting with all manner of ne'er-do-wells, exacting vengeance on her father, and eventually rolling with Black Sun. Until one day she was caught and locked up by the Alliance, and there she remained until being inadvertently released by agents of the Dark Empire who were there for someone else, after which she played along with the Sith once again, for a time, until that, like so many things, crumbled.
What happens next is anyone's guess.
