Naval Apparal

[member="Aria Vale"] was a sith lord, who had the dominion of been given the title Lord of Enmity. She also just procured a clothing business, and her naval forces need a uniform. She decided rather than just build another factory, and make her own. She would offer the job to a fellow sith lord. She made her way to Kol Huro, and find out if they could make uniforms fit for her personal naval forces. As her shuttle set down near the head quarters of Kova Apparel, she decide to walk their and look around as she did. The walk their was pleasant enough, and no doubt by time she got their Lord of Enmity, would have been informed she was coming her way.

She eventual strolled towards the glass doors, and began to make her way to the glass topped reception desk.

Three weeks ago, Kova Apparel had set up headquarters in Kol Huro, a brightly-lit skyscraper located in the heart of the planet's sprawling urban complex. Inside it was pristine, furnished from top to toe in accordance with the expensive tastes of the women leading the company - clean and modern, with just a shade of grandiose. Aria spent more and more time there with Kova's expansion, and she was more than happy with that state of affairs.

She was seated around a table with Kaalia and Imperia when a secretary knocked, sheets with clothing sketches scattered across the wooden surface. Aria looked up from their work as the woman entered.

"My Lord-"

"Aria, please," she cut in swiftly.

"Yes." The other woman looked faintly bewildered. "There's a Sith Lord on her way."

"I'll handle it. Thank you." The Echani rose to her feet, muttering goodbyes to the two women as she brushed past.

When [member="Darth Banshee"] arrived at the building, a receptionist would send for Aria, holding the woman there for only a few moments before the latter Sith Lord arrived.

"Good afternoon," she greated the woman, extending a hand. "Nice to meet you."

She looked at [member="Aria Vale"] as she spoke, she then extend her hand. She glanced at her hand quickly, just to make sure their was no spike their. She then extend her hand, and said Nice to meet you too, I believe you have started making clothes? She paused and then decide, she better explain what she was after. As if you have, then my personal naval personal, could do with a proper uniform. So I can easily tell what their job is, and their rank. Currently the naval uniforms she had no special meaning, it was what ever she could get at the time, some did not even bother with it, as they where once pirates. She had enough of this, she was going to start running a professional navy, and the uniform was a start.

An eyebrow lifted.

"I have," she agreed mildly, letting the other woman continue. Kova's focus was on combat clothing but they sold themselves on their practicality, and uniform for naval personnel certainly fell within that range. Besides, if Kova was commissioned to make clothes, Aria was hardly going to turn the opportunity down. Expansion was expansion, and money was money.

"We could certainly make uniforms for your navy." She nodded as she thought through what came next. "Do you have designs in mind, anything in particular about what you want them to look like? How many uniforms are we talking about here?"

Of course, there was also the matter of how much the Sith Lord was paying. But Aria needed to know what sort of expenses the commission would call for before she could so much as make an estimate of a reasonable fee.
Besides, talking numbers was by far the least fun part of all this.

She smiled, as she asked if she had anything in mind. She did not have much in mind, but she had only one idea. I like to make sure they are double breasted, and make sure they can most people look smart. Also some type of colour code, for each individual type of jobs, say dark blue for maintenance and engineers, red for security, and black for officers. I like some thing along those lines, area to rank and honours on. To be honest other than that, I am fairly open.
She then decide on what she was willing to pay, after all it was big order.
As for payment, I can pay up to hundred and fifty credits uniform, but each had to be ready and fit, soon after the requisitions come in.
If she could do this their would be future business, as she had to get slaves dressed in cast off, and cheaply.
Though some would need better gear than others.

Another nod. "That can easily be done," she thought aloud, mentally already dreaming up what she could make. The Sith Lord had left plenty to Kova's free rein, and truth be told that was how Aria preferred it. It wouldn't be hard to think up a design that would be to Darth Banshee's tastes, and from there having the bulk of uniforms ready was a matter of giving their force of labor droids numbers and time - and she was certainly offering a handsome pay.

"We can have them ready reasonably fast, depending on how many uniforms you need. Can you give me an idea of the number?"

She was sure no Sith Lord with enough money to pay for custom designed uniforms for an entire naval personnel would have that naval personnel's headcount on the low side.
But Aria would need an idea of just what kind of numbers they were talking about.

Sixty thousand, to begin with, but obviously their will be more later. She handed her a data pad, with her current drew types. She was hoping to expand her fleet soon, and add new ships to it. This would in it self bring a new orders for Kova Apparel, and more money to it's owner [member="Aria Vale"]. She had the money to pay for this no problems, and then asked her So how much do you need as a deposit, and how soon can batch ready for my personal ship? She wanted her own ship to be first to be in a uniform, and then the rest of her fleet. Also she added, when can you show me the design's that you come up with?

"Big navy."

Immediately her brain raced. Sixty thousand was far more than she'd anticipated, but hardly undoable. She'd need to speak with Kovani about materials, and their work force would need to double down - how much would the extra hours amount to? - perhaps she could try talking Kaalia into using slaves again -

"Half now and half when the shipment is ready seems reasonable," she decided as her mind ran the numbers. "I imagine I can have the uniforms for your own ship done in a few days at most once I have the designs ready. I can get you those in a week, perhaps sooner."

[member="Darth Banshee"]

[member="Aria Vale"] asked if she had a big navy, Not particularly, and this is only the initial order. The average five hundred meter cruiser can have up to two thousand people on. I only operate nine such ships, giving me an average crew size eighteen thousand crew. Then I like them all to have a clean uniform for duty, so they need more than two, so ideally I need to have three or four depending on what they do. Maintenance need four, as they get dirtier than a deck officer. Also after this their will be replacement ones, as no doubt some will get damaged, and some will also need replacing as crew retire or die. So no this is not a big order for a navy, it actually quite small. Just think what size of order would be, if you got contract with a full size navy. I think if your after one, the new sith fleet commander [member="Adriago Duilius "]. Then you may get orders hundreds of thousands if not millions. She then listened to her delivery plan, and nodded as spoke. Well if you have delays, then let me know, and it will not be an issue.

What anyone needed two thousand people each on eighteen cruisers was entirely beyond her - after all, the Sith Lord herself could barely land a ship on the right end of a planet - but Aria didn't care enough one way or another to enquire. More numbers meant more business. That was all she cared to know.

"Good to know," she said mildly as [member="Darth Banshee"] explained the numbers. That the orders had the potential to grow was more than fine by her. Aria was confident Kova had the workforce needed to meet whatever demands became standard - and if they didn't, they'd expand. Inperia could easily secure labor droids and Kovani would take any opportunity that offered a bigger paycheck.

If only Kaalia would let them use slaves.

"I doubt there will be, but I'll let you know immediately if your order's held up. Where should I contact?"

She looked [member="Aria Vale"], as she spoke and listened to it what she had to say. Good I look forward to seeing them, on my crews.
She then asked How much do I need to pay up front? This was important, as companies need to buy the material, and pay their initial costs.
She was aware of how expensive this could be, as she had her business to run. Their where some companies liked to renegotiate, after delivery had been made.
Well that was until realised she was a sith lord, and then they payed more, strange how that happened.
She wanted this lord to be under no doubt she was getting paid, as having doubts on orders being payed, played havoc with sith.
So offer to name own deposit, was to make sure this fear did not enter her head.

[member="Darth Banshee"]

"You said one hundred and fifty credits per uniform, right?" Aria confirmed, mentally calculating. "So for sixty thousand, that's...ten, no, nine million." The number seemed ludicrous, but she didn't doubt that the Sith Lord could easily cover expenses. It was easy enough to assume that someone who had sixty thousand officers in their navy could pay for their uniforms.

She was happy enough to negotiate if the latter Sith decided to lower her price. Aria wasn't good at haggling, but she was a fast learner. Funding Kova was important to her and she would do what it took to make the company boom.

That said, she could take far less than nine million and still be satisfied, not that she had to say so.

"Half that is four and a half, but we can round that down to four."

She looked at [member="Aria Vale"], as she made her sums. Then she came up with a figure, that seemed fair and equitable. Have you data pad for me transfer the funds? She was going to pay now, as soon she did the sooner she could get on with making the uniforms. She did look forward to it, and hoped her crew had some very comfortable uniforms. After all if they looked sharp, then people may take them as being sharp. Well this was one of her hopes, that they started to band more, than just being a bunch pirates. As soon as the datapad came to her she pressed the button and transfered four and half million credits to her.

She then as asked, So when do you think the initial sketches of the uniforms be ready?
