Nature's Hand

Wearing his black armor and nothing at all to cover his head, Kal wandered aimlessly throughout the not really big crowds of people, he's heard a whole lot about Naboo and it's "unrivaled beauty" but one has to admit, it's much better to be there in person. Of course this was not the capital city, but a small village away from it, those people may live without worries just because some politician wants to everything to look fine, but here he could see if that is true. He could claim it was the Rebel Alliance who wished to have a look or that the Silver Jedi needed some sort of reassurance, but that wouldn't be true. Kal was curious how the Galactic Alliance was treating it's people himself, although it would be a lie to say this is the only reason he was here.

Not far from this village, there were small cliffs from which water was gracefully falling into a nice lake, who wouldn't want to have a look and be near that? And a much better question, who wouldn't want to go on one of those cliffs and jump straight into the water? Kal surely would.

The moment he finally reached the edge of the village, he stopped for a moment to look at the sight, but that was enough marveling, he'd have the time to admire it when he's right there. So he proceeded towards it.

Though teaching younglings was fulfilling as could be, Aela often found that her time was half spent out in the more rural parts of the Galactic Alliance.

The Alliance had expanded so fast and so far that dozens of planets were now under their control, hundreds of worlds and thousands of different species all came together under the Alliance banner. Some of them were advanced, others not so much. It wasn't all that rare that tiny farming villages were entirely forgotten. They were something that people didn't really think about, mostly because they weren't of any consequence to...well anyone.

Jedi, Sith, no one really cared about the tiny town of a thousand or so people. "Here."

Aela said as she pulled out a small package of rations from her backpack. She had been within the village for two days now, they had taken her in on a whim and so far she'd learned a great deal about them. It was no surprise to her that these people were kind, even less so that they were more than curious about where she came from.

"This is what I usually eat on these trips." She told one of the smaller children as they stood within the villages center. "It tastes gross."

The child laughed, trying a bite of the ration bar before almost immediately spitting it out.

Aela smirked slightly, some of the adults around her laughed.

Happily and without the slightest worry walking to the natural wonder, Kal's eyes disappoint him once again as they always do and show him the grim sight before him. His beloved spot was taken a whole herd of Shaaks were sitting there carefree drinking from the lake... While technically he could just go there and jump in the water freely, the thought that it may scare off the animals and piss off someone couldn't leave his head, sentient of not, these animals won the battle... For now. Nonetheless, he made his way to the lake watching the waterfalls with a grumpy face then slowly turned his head to the shaak, the carefree creature drinking beside him.

"Don't you think you've won, fat, domesticated mountain. Once you're out of here nothing will stand against me, the lake will be mine to use and you... You will watch from afar how I defeat the heat in a glorious splash of water. Your defeat will be remembered by you and your comrades, I will see myself having fun in their awed eyes." Not long after he finished his childish display of fake anger caused probably by boredom, a small thud reaches his ears, but this one was not only heard, but felt, these things were not supposed to be violent, were they? Taken by surprise, Kal took a step back moving his right hand to the hilt of his lightsaber as fast as he could. His worries give up as soon as he sees. A child.

The kid didn't seem to be older than maybe 6-7, human... or at least he thought so, who knows what's out there? The young boy rubbed his head a little then looked at Kal with scared eyes. Now this usually happens when he's wearing that stupid mask, but now was not the case. Would he cry? He shouldn't cry, how do you make a child not be scared of you? He gave the question some thought then came up with the answer: You make it clear there is no reason to be afraid probably...

"By all that is good, kid, don't look at me like that, y-you're scary!" By making it seem everything is... the other way around, Kal hoped it would solve the problem... At least this seemed like a good idea to him.

The kid however did not seem to care but spoke with a worried voice "Have you seen my mother?" Now everything was clear, he wasn't afraid of him, he just couldn't find his mother. That's no improvement though...

"That... Depends. I've seen many people in the village, how does your mother look like?"

"She is... Ummm... Bigger than me but a bit smaller than father..."

Kal blinked, that wasn't too much to go on... "Anything... else?"

"Ummm, she has long black hair and keeps it bound at the back."

"I suppose that's a ponytail?" he said letting out a soft sigh afterwards, "Come, let's go to the village and see if she's around there." The kid nodded and walked by his side, Kal shook his head though, "And don't trust strangers so readily."

It wouldn't be long until the two arrive back in the village, Kal looks around for ponytails as he asks the kid "Do you recognize anyone?" but he just shook his head.
