---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Capable Leader: As the captain of her own ship, Narasa learned how to direct others, even when they were complete strangers to her. Although she isn't much of a strategist, she knows how to get people moving and manages to be a competent and trustworthy leader.

Trained Pilot: Narasa has received training and has considerable experience in the pilot's chair. She's an excellent pilot who knows her ship like the back of her hand and can coax maneuvers out of it that other, lesser pilots may not be able to.

Mild Force Training: Even without much interest, Narasa still picked up a few tricks from living in a house with two strong, highly trained Force users. She can meditate, use mild telekinesis (enough to retrieve a blaster that's fallen out of reach, for instance), and sense impending danger in situations and ill-will from individuals.

Prepared: Wherever possible, Narasa weighs the odds on any given scenario before she commits to it. This certainly shows itself in her business transactions. This quality allows her to be ready for events others might not be expecting and have prepared an appropriate counter-move.

Compassionate: This can really go either way, but in Narasa's line of work it isn't usually a benefit. She will help the underdog and those in need if she sees or hears they need it. If she is truly suspicious of a request for help, she can turn her back on someone. However, Narasa has a heart and she can be swayed by other do-gooders to help someone even when she is suspicious of the situation. (She simply walks in prepared.)

Vengeful: Narasa will do whatever necessary to get revenge on those who have hurt the ones she loves, no matter the cost. To a lesser extent, she feels the same way about those who have hurt her, but she can wait a long time to serve her revenge cold, waiting for the right moment to let them know what a mistake they have made even if it's years down the line. When those she loves are hurt, her desire for revenge burns hot, and only swift retribution-- or retribution at the first opportunity-- will do.

Reckless: Recklessness goes hand in hand with Narasa's brand of hot-burning, friend-protecting vengeance, but it also manifests itself in spur-of-the-moment situations both in and out of combat. Placing herself in a position to be arrested, for instance, if it's to help someone, or diving headlong into a fray to retrieve innocent bystanders caught up in it. (Note: She often looks back on her own recklessness with regret, as she prides herself on being prepared.) Her reckless behavior leads those who know her to label her as someone with no self-preservation.

Slow Thinker: Narasa needs time to plan a strategy and does not do well in "think fast" situations (with the exception of reacting to combat scenarios). When placed in them, she goes with her gut, and her gut hasn't always steered her right, Force not withstanding.

APPEARANCE:
In addition to the basics (see avatar), Narasa has various scars along hands, arms and legs, like everyone else who does a hard day's work to earn a living. Prominent scars include a jagged one along her left forearm from an encounter with an angry beast (see: Maldorian meeting) and a long straight line across her back right shoulder from a narrowly avoided blaster bolt. Clothing wise, Narasa always dresses comfortably as her style of living leaves little room for formal occasions. Close-fitting pants, boots, well-worn jackets and a variety of sleeveless or tightly-sleeved tops make up most of her wardrobe.

BIOGRAPHY:
Narasa was born as the second child to Rizat Kelori, a neutrally-minded Zabrak Jedi Knight who had quietly drifted away from the Jedi Temple where she was trained until she could safely break ties with them, and Banar (formerly Darth Ruinus), a former Zabrak Sith Master who had abandoned the Sith for Rizat when her actions began to change his view of the universe. Narasa grew up with her mother as her primary caregiver; her father was not fully in the picture until she was 9 and her brother, Loraat, was 11. Rizat and her children had lived primarily on the move in Narasa's early years, calling Rizat's spaceship home, but eventually the family of four settled down on a planet. Their peace was short-lived; with the arrival of Narasa's father, her brother had more than ever sought information about training to be a Force user and the different abilities that came with mastery over the power. Where Rizat had been temperate in her responses to her son, Banar was happy to answer his son's questions, even when it was not particularly wise. Eventually, Loraat took it into his head that to achieve what he wanted meant he needed to join the ranks of the Sith. At 16, he left his family without warning to seek out what he called "a true master" after he had apparently determined that neither of his parents would teach him what he wanted to know quickly enough. Neither the lessons of his mother nor the lessons of his father about the dangers and extremities of the Sith had penetrated into Loraat's mind.

Unlike her brother, Narasa had little to no interest in her Force powers, even as a child. She preferred to do things the usual way rather than fiddling with manipulation of the Force, and although she learned basic meditation to help center herself, she rebuffed most of her parents' attempts to teach her to tap into her abilities. There was always something else to interest her: a starship manual to memorize, a discussion of trade to eavesdrop on, her mother's ship to fix. Narasa used her powers now and again for little things, but for the most part she managed to carve an identity for herself without needing to involve it at all.

When she was 19, she left on her first job with a local merchant. That trip proved to be the catalyst for a career path that her mother dryly referred to as being "a long time in coming". Narasa moved from crew to crew over the next six years, conducting business both legitimate and illegitimate, and learning the ropes for bookkeeping, negotiating, assessing value, and distributing bribes, among others. She saved her creds and eventually bought a somewhat run-down, well-loved spaceship. She threw herself into work, taking some less-than-safe and less-than-credible jobs, slowly gathering the money needed to make all necessary repairs and upgrades to her vessel. Narasa forged long-lasting relationships with some of her customers, was burned by others, and quickly gained wisdom and street smarts as she worked with temporary crew after temporary crew. At the end of the day, she wound up alone, but her life was busy enough that Narasa didn't notice it.

It was on a solo job that Narasa first met Maldorian, the soldier who would eventually make her reconsider her "temporary crew" strategy. He interrupted a transaction at a critical point, causing Narasa to lose the sale, and wound up fighting alongside her as they fought off a group of local beasts. In the battle, Mal protected Narasa, resulting in near-mortal injuries to his person but also driving off the attackers. Narasa, unwilling to leave him to die even if it meant a financial loss or getting arrested, dragged him onto the ship and got him to a hospital. Following his surgeries, Narasa returned to speak with him, and wound up sparking a long-distance friendship. When Mal left his position with the army and contacted her for a ride, Narasa offered him a permanent place on her ship instead.

SHIP:
Narasa owns an old XS Freighter that she has polished to new shine. This fast, nimble ship comes with an enlarged cargo hold, but also contains secret compartments throughout the ship for transporting contraband and anything else the captain would prefer to keep hidden. If the captain prefers to simply avoid being boarded, the XS has proven itself to be fully capable. In addition to the standard laser and torpedo batteries, the starship is designed with upper and lower turrets that can be controlled manually or remotely from the cockpit. Captains of these freighters typically live on board, so the XS Freighter has all the creature comforts anyone could ask for, from a recreational lounge to extra sleeping quarters.
