DESCRIPTION

Are you a Chiss? Are you sick and tired of your friends and family getting butchered by Rebel Alliance terrorists? The bad news is, your friends and family aren’t coming back. They’re dead forever. The good news is, Hegemonic Automaton (in collaboration with ArmaTech Combat Systems) is here to manufacture and sell the best combat droids on the market. Now the Chiss Ascendancy will be able to kill those Rebel scum right back with more efficiency and brutality than ever before, or your money back!

Named after the legendary hero prevalent in many Chiss myths, the Nerevar series comes in two parts: the N1 Battle Droid and the N2 Super Battle Droid. As can be expected, the N2 Super Battle Droid is much more heavily armed than its counterparts and a great deal stronger. This makes the N2 adept at wielding heavy weapons, like missile pods, cipquads, chainguns, and other nefarious pieces of heavy weaponry with ease.

Focusing on the N2’s armor would be the optimal place to start. The N2 comes equipped with ArmaTech Combat System’s patented Anvilskin Ceramic-Composite Armor. This provides it with ample protection from both energy weapons and slugthrowers. For added protection, the N2 can be equipped with ArmaTech’s Icon-Class Personal Energy Shield. But since these are difficult and expensive to implement in a droid of this size, units with that attachment are rarely seen. The N2’s internal skeleton is also composed of Quadanium for further reinforcement and strength.

In terms of combat, the N2 is intended to wield weapons that are too heavy for lighter droids and personnel. This includes the weapons previously mentioned above. In the event that these weapons become useless to the N2, it also comes with a pair of hydraulic fists, easily capable of punching through duracrete and other tough materials. A single punch to the gut from an N2 will literally crush the ribcage of an individual and lead to severe internal bleeding, even if that individual happens to be wearing armor. If not immediate, death will come quickly.

The usual Hegemonic Automaton staples are also present. This includes the J2 Droid Brain, the most advanced on the market, coupled with the K-65 Targeting System. The N2 is as accurate and intelligent as it is deadly. Further miscellaneous equipment includes a gyroscopic stabilizer for increased stability and strength, a sensorscope and general-purpose scanner to detect a myriad of things, and an Ionization buffer to protect it from Ion and EMP based attacks. To prevent slicers from tampering with the droid, the N2’s comm-link is encrypted and segregated from other processing components.

Speaking of Hegemonic Automaton staples, the N2 is not without its quirks. In order to come up with an unarmed combat protocol fitting a droid of this size, [member="Hion the Herglic"] and Darkwater Security were contracted to demonstrate their hand-to-hand combat techniques to help lay the groundwork of their droid. Just as the Fett Clones venerated their progenitor, so too do N2s that achieve sapience. N2s that go without memory wipes for very long adopt many of Lord Orcus’ mannerisms, much to the chagrin of Chiss xenophobes. Hegemonic Automaton have witnessed two distinct paths for N2s that become sapient and attempt to leave their owner’s employ.

The first path begins when they start submitting holonet applications to Darkwater Security. They do so in the hopes that they might fight alongside Lord Orcus on the field of battle, slaying enemies for profit and glory. Regardless of whether the application is accepted or not, they will attempt to leave their current owner to apply at Darkwater Security’s headquarters in person. If they are refused entry or a position, they will hang around the surrounding area until their power cells expire. They are then picked up by a local Hegemonic Automaton collections agent (if scavengers didn't get to them already) and brought back to Ord Cestus for salvaging.

The second path begins when they start talking, frequently and at length, of the planet Giju. Although they respect Lord Orcus, they lose their taste for violence and attempt to “return” to Giju to live among “their people.”

Hegemonic Automaton is not responsible for the actions of any N2 Super Battle Droids that achieve sapience. Regular memory wipes are highly recommended.
