My dropdown menus aren't working?

When I click on the notifications button, instead of opening the dropdown I'm taken straight to my User CP. The same with my messages button and on the arrow for the profile dropdown. In addition, my text box doesn't let me format (example in case http://imgur.com/a/T2cbx) and when I click to show comments on a status update it jumps to the top of the page (without then showing the comments.)

My browser is Google Chrome, and when I asked in a status update nobody was having similar issues. Can somebody help please? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also noticed that when I hover my mouse over a username the name + picture + status update box (or whatever it's called) doesn't come up, just 'view profile'.

Just tried this on my laptop. Refuses to work on there, however works fine on my PC. Both are running Windows 10 with up to date Chrome and it only started today (I think) so...yeah..

Edit: Gonna try and steal my brothers laptop whenever he's around, either later tonight or tomorrow. He's using a beta version of some web browser his friend had to design for a class so yeah. If it works on there i'm going to assume it's a chrome problem.

Double Edit: Try clearing your internet browser cookies, I reckon that might have something to do with it. I'll try it on my laptop later on so.

IE or Chrome? Or another browser?

Edit: you could try rzetting the IE browser but if it is chrome, you could try what [member="Daniel Drower"] suggested. Couldnt hurt to clear your java cache as well but as chrome doesnt support NPAPI plugins it may be a Chrome bug. If all else fails test in IE and see if you get the same issue!

I uninstalled IE but it works fine in Edge.

Guess, at least for me, it's a chrome bug. I also tested it in my brother's beta thing and it worked so. I wonder why it doesn't work on my laptop but it does on my PC, both are running Chrome.

Huh. I give up questioning.

Works for me now. Clearing the entire cache (from the beginning of time :p) seems to fix it.

What exactly caused the problem however, of that I have no idea.
