Armament:Defenses:Hangar:Special Features:Strengths & Weaknesses:
  • Strengths:
Specialized Defenses - Shield Power fed only into anti-particle weaponry and debris, while leaving all laser energy to the armor plating. This allows more power to only be used against physical objects, better defenses against physical impacts
Medical Safety - Much more likely to save lives with its on-board equipment than other non-medical ships and their sickbays.
Countermeasures - Entirely higher chances to survive missiles and torpedoes in space and in atmosphere.
  • Weaknesses:
Low Armaments - Has a single, though powerful weapon. Extremely small firing archs (Limited to Rear, Forward, Forward Corners. 45 degree allowed variance up and down)
Expectations - The ship is built to expect to not be fired upon, by any enemies except pirates, due to its IFF Transponder. It transmits an emergency or medical IFF on all medical/emergency frequencies, especially for dead factions. If it enters a battle zone, power is shut off to weapons to prioritize medical equipment and shielding, and does not hide itself. (Except no Imperial frequencies, there were no Imperial Transponders during the time the ship was created) - Reads as "GX 1 Shorthauler" on basic scanners and "MX-2 Medical Corvette" on Advanced Scanners, with the original read-out below it.
Description:

The MX-2 Light Corvette was built with "Travel," "Protection," and "Living" in mind. The Doctor who had the designs, or the ideas, for this ship wanted to make sure that this was the ship that would be used to asses situations, protect its occupants during any fight, and assist in any way shape or form in the heat of combat, but not to fight... but to evacuate. It was designed as partially a hospital ship and transport, with the ability to haul a small amount of goods - mostly medical equipment, and have an advanced medical facility based partially on Kaminoan and Republic medical sciences at the time. The MX-2 may not have been as prized as the Maw or Vixley, but it had to be special. It was the tool to use to get around the galaxy to do what the Doctor felt needed to be done. It was to be iconic, it was to be a beacon.

The MX-2 has an advanced medical facility for the era it was made, a large turbolaser cannon to knock out the average small pirate and raider vessels of the galaxy, it is imprinted with a signal, transponder and visual decals to make it look like a medical ship - not temporary items, these are locked in, hard coded, or actual parts of the ships. There is no "fooling" other ships to think its medical, thought and effort were put into this ship to make it look exceptionally authentic, and not made by a pirate or terrorist. It is equipped with most standard and necessary equipment for a ship that travels the stars and dives through crosshairs, and one that needs to get to the ground surface and back out of the atmosphere.

It's major weakness is anything blaster-style larger than a small arms. It's ablative plating protects it from fighter based and infantry based weaponry, until the weaponry is specialized for anti-vehicle. Anti-vehicle weaponry can quickly tear off any chromium it hits, but then it will have to grind through the Titanium Armor behind it. Physical projectiles are mostly protected by the Particle Shield, but if it goes down, the projectiles can start throwing the ship off balance or quickly start penetrating the titanium armor. Other than the specialized gun, the ship has no other means of weaponry, and no anti-fighter point-defense. The whole ship is pretty large, but based on the aspect of rolling, dodging, or sprinting out of fire. If it can't get away, it can roll or dodge to force weaponry to focus on a different shielding layer, and focus power into a different layer where one is weak.

This is a really well laid out and nicely formatted sub. There's a few minor issues, but you've gone ahead and asked for help with them anyway, which I'm more than happy to provide.

The Hyperdrive is the easiest to sort. A Class 2 fits just fine with the concept you've got going. Typically Class 1 is what you see on military vessels

We have a number of useful 'Chaos Canon' standards for most of the more confusing numbers.
Speed/Maneuverability
Armament/Defense

So at the moment your ship is looking very fast and rather maneuverable for its size. We'll get back to that in a minute.

For Armament, you've got 11 (slightly above average) but only one, Turbolaser- equivalent weapon. At 175m in length, I think you'd be looking at a 2 or 4.

For Defense, you mention sloped armor with regard to resistance from energy weapons. However, blasters (and their larger cousins lasers and turbolasers) do not deal damage based on kinetic impact, but instead from energy release on impact. So sloped armor would have little to no effect on laser cannons and the like in particular. It would however have an effect on projectile weapons.

As far as resolving all this goes. You have a large-ish Corvette that's incredibly fast and maneuverable, but very lightly armed. The most straightforward option is to drop Armament Rating to around 2. Raise Speed to 7 (6 is just a little too fast for the size) and resolve the discrepancy with Defense. With the 10 posts of dev, I would have no issues stamping that for approval.
