STRENGTHS
  • Exceptional Speed and Maneuverability - The MX-150 was designed with an upgraded gravmotor system and improved propulsion, which allow it to outpace most tracked and wheeled armor, making it ideal for rapid advances, flanking maneuvers, and pursuit operations.
  • Flexible Ordnance Loadout - Dual ordnance launchers with armor-piercing, bunker buster, and high-energy shells allow the crew to adapt quickly to changing battlefield conditions, from vehicle interdiction to clearing hardened infantry positions.
  • KD57 3-Chamber Repulsorlift Engine - A specialized component that is often installed on Sailbarges and Leisure Skiffs, this engine system allows the MX-150 to traverse over almost all types of terrain, including water, sand, ice, and snow.
  • Compact Infantry Deployment - Design features retained from previous iterations include a rear-facing hatch, which allows rapid insertion or extraction of up to six Mandalorians, enabling quick objective seizure, vehicle crew reinforcement, or emergency recovery operations.
  • Escort and Reaction Force Utility - Each vehicle was designed to operate in fast-moving formations, with the MX-150 excelling at reconnaissance-in-force, convoy protection, exploitation of breakthroughs, and rapid-response roles. The MX-150 can also be utilized to screen heavier units from enemy harassment, as well as engaging threats and disengaging before heavier enemy assets can be brought to bear.
WEAKNESSES
  • Light Armor and Shields - The MX-150 cannot withstand sustained fire from heavy weapons, artillery, or dedicated anti-armor platforms and must rely on speed and positioning for survival.
  • Structural Weak Point - Although capable of deploying a small squad of Mandalorians into battle, this comes at a cost as the rear deployment hatch compromises rear armor integrity. A direct hit to this area can result in catastrophic internal damage or crew casualties.
  • Vulnerability to Area Denial Weapons - Mines, ion fields, and repulsorlift-disrupting technologies pose significant risks to the MX-150, particularly in urban or heavily fortified environments.
  • Ordnance Constraints - While capable of carrying several specialized shells, these are limited in supply. When these shells have been spent, the overall effectiveness of the vehicle is reduced, limiting its use in prolonged engagements without resupply.
  • Limited Passenger Capacity - Though designed to carry up to six Mandalorians, this limited capacity restricts its usefulness as a transport and prevents it from acting as a primary troop carrier to deploy forces into forward positions.
DESCRIPTION
The MX-150 Type Fighter Tank represents the Mandalorian Empire's evolution of the Saber-class lineage into a true armored cavalry platform. Developed by Aether Systems, it builds upon the proven TX-130 and TX-150 designs, trading heavy armor and brute force for speed, agility, and tactical flexibility. Where heavier tanks dominate through sheer presence, the MX-150 dominates through motion. Its repulsorlift drives allow it to skim across terrain that would slow or immobilize conventional armor, enabling rapid flanking attacks and exploitation of enemy weaknesses.

Fire-linked heavy laser cannons deliver precise, punishing strikes against light and medium vehicles, while the adaptable ordnance launchers provide the means to neutralize bunkers or hardened positions when speed alone is insufficient. Though lightly armored by Mandalorian standards, the MX-150 compensates through speed and agility. It is intended to strike fast, disengage cleanly, and strike again - screening allied forces, harassing enemy formations, and collapsing defensive lines before heavier assets arrive.

The limited troop bay and rear deployment hatch allow for swift insertion of small Mandalorian teams, but at the cost of a known structural vulnerability. In Mandalorian service, the MX-150 is not a siege engine or linebreaker - it is the blade at the edge of the formation, carving openings for the rest of the army to follow and exploit by rushing into the open wound.
