DESCRIPTION

The MX-00 Templar Armor is a specialized form of protection unique to members of the Confederacy of Independent System's Templar Order. It consists, primarily, of an armorweave body glove which spans from the neck, to the wrists, and ends at the ankles. Upon this bodyglove are situated numerous plates composed of a ratio of armorplast and cortosis. In total, the sum of cortosis within each plate is forty percent; due to the high price of the ore. The end result is a suit of armor that lacks the ability which characterizes cortosis, the shorting out of lightsabers, but does retain its overall resistance to the blade. Furthermore, due to the large percentage of armorplast, the Templar Armor has a rather effectiveness against blaster fire; but does not completely deflect or reflect blaster bolts; which is the famed strength of armorplast.

However, the concentration of cortosis in the bracers and gauntlets of the armor is one-hundred percent; thereby allowing a Templar to utilize their hands and forearms defensively to short out the lightsabers of an opponent. In terms of modularity, members of the Templar Order can customize their armor in a variety of ways; ranging from color, engravings, or anything in-between. Furthermore, a hooded, armorweave cloak of black hue is typically incorporated with the attire; though it is not necessarily standard. The armor also comes complete with a utility belt, equipped with numerous pockets and holsters for lightsabers or blaster.
