Music Depository!

Basically, this is a thread for folks to browse when they want to add music to their post, but don't quite know what they're looking for! I'm hoping to continuously expand this as I go along, allowing it to blossom into the Sears Catalogue of SWRP Music.

Format:

Category:
[Description of category, including a brief pointer as to what feels the song will give.]

"Song Title," by So 'N So
[might also include other scenarios this song can be used in]

Also feel free to suggest songs below using this format:

"Song Title (with link)" by So 'N So

Category/Scenario: [I.e. would you use this when your character is baking cupcakes? Defending a loved one? Committing mass genocides? Scenes that escalate quickly?]

Note: eventually the categories and the songs will be arranged alphabetically.
-----------------

Introductions:
[While not necessarily tied to any specific feel, these songs are great for if you need an opening song to set the mood you're aiming for. These are different from the others in that they don't describe the mood; they create it.]

"Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider

"Hell's Bells" by AC/DC

Big Moment:
[This is your character's make or break moment! Or, y'know, the moment leading up to the moment. Nonetheless, it needs music, so cue the drums, boys!]

"Legends of Destiny" by audiomachine

Death Scene:
[Pretty self explanatory. Either you are dying, or someone your character holds dear is dying, NPC or otherwise. Can also be used for the death of an ecosystem, a colony, etc.]

"Trenzalore/The Long Song/I am Information (Reprise), (Doctor Who)" by Murray Gold
[added by [member="Mark Sage"]]

Aftermath (Fury):
[Something has happened, and right now the only thing your character is focused on is either gaining vengeance, getting revenge, or taking out their anger by razing a village or two]

"Crossing Destiny" by audiomachine
[This is more for like the cold fury, rather than the heated, magma rage. Also good for intimidating suspense.]

"Battle Cry" by Imagine Dragons

Suspense:
[Something is about to happen, and whether that thing be an unexpected visitor, an unknown pursuant closing in, or a mysterious presence, the drama is building enough to cause your heart to start pumping]

"Give 'Em Hell" by Epic Score
[Useful for if an army is coming at your character, but they don't realise it's the enemy until too late....or something like that]

"Aristotle, We've Been Hit (Variant, Doctor Who)" by Murray Gold
[Can also be used as a cliffhangar -- added by [member="Mark Sage"]]

Calm/ Nostalgic:
[For more laid back scenes when a character may be deep in thought, possibly about his/her own past or the past in general -- added by [member="Mark Sage"]]

"Rain (Deference to Darkness)" by Martin O'Donnell/Michael Salvatori
[added by [member="Mark Sage"]]

Romance:
[Need I say more? Sparks are flying, hearts are fluttering, and a "fade to black" scene may or may not be forthcoming]

"Locked Away (feat. Adam Levine)" by R City
[This may not seem like a romantic song at first, but you can use it if your character and his or her love interest are actually sharing their true feelings for each other. Good for a very feelsy scene.]

Investigative:
[Your character is searching for something. A clue? A signal? An answer? Whatever it is, cue the music!]

"Papaoutai" by Stromae

Travelling:
[Your character (and maybe a group of people) is travelling somewhere, and maybe you'd like some background music. The travel itself is simply a filler scene, a transition from one place to another. Nonetheless, it is important enough to deserve a soundtrack...of Just one song, hopefully]

"Clocks (Coldplay Cover)" by 2cellos

Revelation/Recognition:
[Simple. Your character has stumbled across something that will change their life (perspective), or they have just revealed a deep, dark, dear secret of theirs to someone]

Escape:
[Run, run, run, as fast as you can, you can't catch these folks because they've got music with them! Adds excitement to your character's escape scene]

Pursuit:
[One way, or another, you're gonna find them, you're gonna get em get em get em...because your character has the power of music to aid in their pursuit. Just like escape, this adds drama to your pursuit scene]

Space Battle/Dogfight:
[Self explanatory again. After all, every space fight has climatic background music! Pew pew pew!!]

"The Phoenix" by Fall Out Boy
[Can also be used for pursuit/escape, or a duel/gunfight]

Duel/Gun Fight:
[Duels are typically held between two people, and while they tend to carry more finesse than all-out fights, there's still something about a good clash that makes us want to jump up and fistpump -- especially if there's good music involved. Gun fights, too, qualify for this, though they're (hopefully) held with each party a distance away from one another]

"Untouchable" by Xtortion Audio

"Duel of the Fates: Film Version" by John Williams
[Great for fast paced action, or just action in general. Added by [member="Mark Sage"]]

"Episode III: Battle of the Heroes" by John Williams
[Great or tight lightsaber combat between two good-hearted foes. Added by [member="Vahn Fett"]]

Aftermath (Good):
[Perhaps not necessarily "good", but this is for when your character has done something or witnessed something where the aftermath leaves them feeling content -- but not giving off creepy vibes. Or maybe you want them, I don't know. Either way, these songs can be used for scenes like after the Rebels destroyed the Death Stars, or the hero saves his/her people]

"Hymn of the Rising" by audiomachine

Aftermath (Loss/Numb):
[Completely different end of the spectrum from the "good" aftermath. Your character has put his or her heart and soul into initiating/preventing something from happening, and yet their efforts have failed. All has been lost, and it's your character's fault. Good for after a death scene, revelation, etc.]

"Cry" by Thomas Bergerson
[Really good for after the death of someone your character was close to; can lead to an "Aftermath (Fury)" scene]

Comedic/Upbeat:
[These are the songs that put a fun little spin on what your character is doing, or makes the scene a bit more...bubbly]

"Wilf's Wiggle (Doctor Who)" by Murray Gold

Other:
[Songs for which I have yet to categorize. Suggestions welcomed!]

Calm/ Nostalgic:

For more laid back scenes when a character may be deep in thought, possibly about his/her own past or the past in general
