Ancient and protected, the blade of Unaga was forged by Junko's ancestor long ago with some problems. The time table for it comes from when years seemed to last longer, rulers could be in charge for hundreds of years instead of decades even though they are human. So the exact age of the blade is unknown. The blade itself though is force enhanced songsteel allowing it to remain sharp and strong even after all of this time. The pommel and hilt of the blade are well worn into a grip that can be held by smaller hands. Unaga being the name of Junko's mother who passed away, the sword generaly passes down through the family and remains in their estate over a mural until one proves they are worthy of the blade itself.
In terms of history the earliest story comes from a tale Junko heard her grandmother speak. About her ancestor following a light in the sky for thirteen days and thirteen nights until coming to a lake where the rock was cooling in the middle of it. The impact making a carter that caused rock and earth to be upended from the water creating a small island. They constructed around the rock a home and slowly excavated it until the rock, metal and ore was cleared away and there is where they made a forge to smelt it and turn it into something special. The force blade itself was worked on and slowly forged, then reforged as improvements were made several times. With finally the blade was finished after the eight forging by plunging it into the heart of his bride.
The legend, tall tale, family history was not something many knew but Junko and even Shoma had heard it and more plenty of times. The stories were intricate but the times and everything were not. Another ancestor as time went on used the blade to depose her brother leaping from the back of a speeder with the sword stabbing it through the eye of her brother. A deadly war between them that lasted several generations until the family divided. With others going off into the galaxy and slowly becoming other parts of the family but they continued to work with them. The blade disappeared for a time, with the need for it gone and was returned after Sawa was disposed from the Necropolis being sealed away.
Tales abounded of many other things you could see, stories of the family and how there was another who was fearless. Which as Junko was told is a problem, one needs to know fear to know how to overcome it so when they were able to fight enemies the sword seemed to falter. News of their child who was killed and worse within the Yovshin a status of honor to protect the emperor caused them to finally falter and perish. Then she would usually pinch Junko's nose telling her more stories about monsters and Other stories about honor and tales of valor with the blade abounded so that she coudl get a sense of the old ways, of the times when Atrisian nobles served alongside their fellow men of any status.
The blade continued to pass through the generations, becoming a part of the family as much as their dedication to the Yovshin and lightside. Slowly adjusting all of it and to match the needs of the style of jar;kai a smaller off hand tanto style blade was made and given to the family. Both blades passed down but the secondary one was lost to the ages. The sword itself rested above the mural depicting the family fighting both each other and others on the world of Atrisia. The distinctive armor there as well to do it. Older stories about how the family fought their own cousins with Unaga another named for their ancestor used her influence and personal army, wealth and a host of offworlders to reclaim the debts owed to her.
The blade rejected her and she was unable to use it but her child was able to wield it. To stop her reign of terror among her family and plans of kinslaying. As the personal battle waged on the sword fel into the lake and was eventualy found again after a long and exhaustive search being wielded to restore the family and retake in the name of the emperor when he called for others to help defend the Imperial city. Slowly the family came to be within a higher standing and the blade continued to pass through the years until Emperor Kahosi called for the families of Atrisia to come together and serve within the Atrisian Empire. To protect her father who was aged and while able tired compared to many.
Junko stole her father blade and armor to fight being the son from the family called forth when she was sent out to Dathomir and a number of other planets learning her own personal skills. Eventually her father passed away but Junko returned home with the sword and information about the rest of the family. She spoke about [member="Shoma Ike"] who was within the Galactic Alliance and skilled but he was just a child. While she was slowly becoming the head of the household once the Atrisian empire became the Galactic Empire and eventually fell apart. Joining the Lords of the Fringe after the dangerous and failed invasion of the Omega Protectorate. The attack that came from all of it left most of Atrisia scattered as slowly it was taken over by darksiders.
The one sith had taken over the world and the family itself has chosen to not make waves. Words were wind, actions could determine many things but since it seemed everyone could easily become swayed they would remember the important things. Things would change as slowly they just continued to grow stronger and train their yovshin who would serve the proper emperor. Junko remainign with the jedi and time passing on as the sword was returned to the family itself. Slowly she found a use for it again when the masive devastation of Atrisia came using it with some fo the other things they had to rally people to rebuilding where they could. Helping out a number of others who wanted to rebuild the world.
