J.P. came from a rich family on Coruscant - where is Father was a reputable businessman and his Mother a reputable money spender. Due to his family's financial status he was able to attend the higher class schools and universities where he majored in business. His Father's plan was for J.P. to one day take over the family business - which dealt in various subjects. J.P. never wanted to run the family business. Hie eyes and goals looked further into the sky of possibilities.
After he had successfully made some credits by investing in certain companies - the money he received from the sticks he owned allowed him to branch out from his family and begin looking to start up his own company. Which he eventually did when he opened the doors to the unveiling of his own company - KSLH Corporation. Nobody other than himself knew what the four letters represented - not even his wife turned ex-wife.
Shortly after his company began operations - he headed out to seek governments in which to sign contracts with. While visiting the planet of Coruscant - he had been wounded severely during an attack from dissidents targeting the government that ruled over them. He survived his injuries but had been put back together using droid parts and tech.
