SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Reload Pad - At the butt of the MPH-RGL is a square pad that can be attached or detached to the launcher using a small lever. When detached, the end of the launcher is open and extra rockets or ion missiles can be added into the four slots of the launcher.
  • Trigger - On the gray far grip, there is a red button that when pressed, fires rockets in quick secession.
  • Safety Pad - The safety pad is very similar to the reload pad in design, except for that it is permanently connected to the bottom end of the MPH-RGL's barrel. Its purpose is to prevent an accidental firing of the launcher before a battle has started by absorbing the majority of the damage. It can only take a few rockets before it breaks, but it is essential nonetheless.
Strengths:
  • Hellfire Barrage - The MPH-RGL can fire high-powered explosives very quickly, making a soldier with one and a few dozen rockets a nightmare to fight in an infantry unit.
  • AP Explosives - Despite being intended for anti-infantry purposes, two or well-placed rocket can penetrate the armor of a MBT and rupture its essential components.
  • Arc Of Fire - Rockets from the MPH-RGL can be fired in an arc due to their low speed, allowing a barrage to be inflicted from the safety of a trench or armored station.
  • Multi-Variable Ammunition - MPH-RGLs are not limited to rockets, and are also able to fire heavy anti-infantry ion projectiles and impulse landmines.
Weaknesses:
  • Where'd the ammo go? - The rapid rate of fire provided by the MPH-RGL also consumes rockets very fast. In an extended battle, dozens of rockets would be needed to supply the launcher with enough ammunition to fire even semi-frequently.
  • Missed again... - Any gun with four barrels wouldn't be the most accurate, and the MPH-RGL definitely fits into the category of an inaccurate four-barrelled gun. While at close range, splash damage negates any lost accuracy, more than fifteen meters away getting a direct hit will be very tricky, even against heavy infantry or armored vehicles.
  • Brick Cannon - The great weight of the MPH-RGL has earned it the nickname "Brick Cannon". Fully loaded, it is as heavy as four bricks fused together and just as tricky to handle.
  • Weak Throw - With most of the MPH-RGL's interior space consisting of large rockets, there is little space left for a powerful firing mechanism. After only ten meters, gravity will begin to catch up with the velocity of the rockets fired by the Brick Cannon, causing them to drop down to the ground. Even with the best position possible for extended range, the MPH-RGL's rockets can only travel ten to thirty meters before they impact a flat surface.
DESCRIPTION

If a RPG and grenade launcher had a baby, it would be the MPH-RGL.

One of Rick Kaloo's final designs before he was to retire, he decided to make as unique of a weapon as possible. The first idea that popped in his head was combining two popular explosive weapons, the RPG and the grenade launcher. It stuck with him for days, and he finally set a team to work on the hybrid RPG/grenade launcher.

The experimental weapon was planned to have the impact explosions and penetration of a RPG and the rate of fire and range of a grenade launcher. In fact, four barrels were added to compliment an increased rate of fire, at the cost of accuracy. However, being an explosive weapon, accuracy was deemed relatively unimportant.

Each of the four barrels can fit a single rocket, ion torpedo, or mine a distance of ten to thirty meters, and there is only one second of delay between each barrel firing. When all four are being used, the barrels fire from top to bottom, left to right. A half-filled MPH-RGL would fire from the topmost, followed by the leftmost of the filled barrels.

The reload process consists of the opening of the reload pad and inserting four rockets into the ends of each of the four barrels. Then, the reload pad is reattached, automatically pushing the rockets forward and allowing them to be fired.
