Description: One of three destroyer variants birthed from the old Venator-class hull designs, the Rebel Alliance’s Mothma-class serves as a specialized role capital ship, low in heavy armaments but focused in alternative weaponry.

The Venator-class hull was refitted, with both an extreme reduction in hangar size and a static ion field disruptor projection system installed in place of the ventral flight deck. This projector system has a range of 6 times the ship’s length, its purpose being to disable electronics-reliant systems on ships within the effective radius. While the projector should not affect the destroyer due to its facing, the Mothma-class’ plating is layered with Lead to help prevent any unfortunate self-deactivation in any case. Its primary systems are also backed up with analogue mechanical systems to be extra sure, although the ship would not be able to run at full effectiveness in such a situation.

The downside to the specialized weaponry the Mothma-class showcases is its lack of assault weaponry, with very few turbolaser batteries in comparison with the standard star destroyer. To help compensate for this, the Mothma-class features redundant deflector shielding, which allows it to hold through an attack run. Otherwise, the vessel is a bit slow and, obviously, old-fashioned. It is not exactly general-purpose and may be vulnerable to concentrated, long-range assaults.

As the original Venator-class destroyers were, the retrofitted Mothma-class destroyers are capable of operation within a planet’s gravitational event horizon.

The Mothma-class destroyer operates best with a crew of approximately 2,000. Its provisions capacity for this amount of operators lasts for a duration of approximately 6 months.

This is an incredibly large amount of weapons for a ship of this size. I will need to see this reduced substantially before continuing.

The maximum squadron count for Destroyers is 6, you have 7. Keeping in mind you are seeking the maximum (from what I can tell), your ship totals up to 1032 offensive weapons.

I will need to see a major reduction in one or the other, and the only way I can approve of a large amount of armaments with any significant presence of a hangar would be to lower the production to at least limited.

Are you looking to using more weapons or a larger hangar? As it stands right now you are at 252 capital guns and 20 defensive with 6 squadrons in your hangar. This is perfectly acceptable, but I'm curious if you've intended to go larger in one direction or another as a destroyer.

The maximum hangar count is the maximum, that is the highest that classification of ship can hold at the maximum size of that classification.

Seeing as there is not much else here of issue, this is approved and pending secondary.
