OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

Intent: To Create A Familiar For Count Marlow Venjuta

Canon: Kodashi Viper , Sith Familiar

Links: Count Marlow Venjuta

GENERAL INFORMATION

Name: Moragi

Designation: Semi-Sentient

Homeworld: Dathomir

Language: Galactic Basic (understands)

Average Lifespan: 60 standard years

Estimated Population: Unique

Description:

The kodashi viper, the most dangerous and venomous snake on Dathomir, carries a neurotoxin venom that can kill an adult human in minutes. Traditional, these vipers have scales/skin that are green with bands of red and yellow encompassing their bodies from head to the tip of their tails. They possess top and bottom fangs, sharp enough to pierce the flesh of all species, minus those that have armored scales.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION

Breathes: Type I, limited underwater breathing

Average height of adults: 0.3 meters

Average length of adults: 1.2 meters

Skin color: Yellow-Green with Dark Brown patterns

Hair color: N/A

Distinctions:

The female familiar known as Moragi has three distinctions that separate her from her cousins. The first being her eyes. Through the alchemy and ritual process, her eyes have transformed into a orange color with a red outline. Her eyes slowly emit an orange mist when they are open.

Unlike typical kodashi vipers who have green skin with red and yellow bands, Moragi has yellow-green skin with dark brown patterns that cover her body from head to tail. However, a side effect from the creation process, the skin and patterns can change at will still using the basic three colors.

Moragi possess both top and bottom fangs like her species; but her fangs are sharper, thicker and stronger.

Races: N/A

Strengths:

Extremely Venomous: Moragi possess two types of venoms that she can release either together or by choosing which one to dispense into her victims. Like all koashi vipers, she carries a neurotoxin venom, though her venom carries a higher proportion of mercury; which can easily destroy brain tissue in victims. The second type of venom she carries is a hemotoxin. Though this venom does not kill as quickly as the neurotoxin, it does however break down the victim's body's ability to form blood clots; thus can lead to a long dragged out process of bleeding out through the body's pores; as well as destroying red blood cells and can cause both organ degeneration and tissue damage.

Force Cloak: Moragi has the ability to use Force Cloak, allowing her to bend light and sound around her to make her almost nearly invisible. When under the guise of this ability, she appears as a transparent glimmering entity.

Mental Link: Through the creation process, she has an unbreakable mental link to Count Marlow Venjuta. Though unbreakable, it can be slightly disrupted by a more skilled Force user (Master/Lord rank). Void Stones, known to dampen the Force in individuals, temperarily breaks the link between the two; causing Moragi to go berserk. Force void fields, such as created by Ysalamir, holds the similar affect between the two; however unlike the Void Stone, it puts Moragi in a three day hibernation state.

Immune To Dark Side Attacks: Having been created through the Dark Side, she is immune to all Dark Side attacks.

Weaknesses:

Vulnerable To Low Temperatures: Because she is a kodashi viper, she cannot survive for very long in low temperatures. If forced to endure these lower temperatures, her body first goes into a stasis like mode, followed by a slow and agonizing freezing death.

Force Signature: Due to being linked to her master, she has taken on the Force signature of Count Marlow Venjuta. This can cause numerous problems for both Moragi and Count Marlow Venjuta.

Vulnerable To Light Side Attacks: Because she is a Dark Side Sithspawn in all aspects, she is vulnerable to all Light Side Attacks. Unlike a Sith sword that can be damaged by such attacks, these attacks can kill her outright.

Symbiotic Pain: She has is the symbiotic pain link. Whenever her Master feels pain, she can feel it as well; and this works both ways. In the event Morgai dies, Count Marlow Venjuta will not only feel it, but will become very ill taking weeks, if not months, to recover. In the event Count Marlow Venjuta dies, Moragi herself will die.

Nocturnal: Moragi is the epitome of a nocturnal animal. She thrives only at night, and during day light hours she is forced to sleep. Her internal clock has been altered from the alchemy process, so even if she is not in direct day light, her body will shut down due to it knowing the 'time' of the day.

CULTURE

Diet: Small mammals, small reptiles, birds, insects

Communication: Mental Linked

Technology level: N/A

Religion/Beliefs: N/A

General behavior:

Moragi is nocturnal only, and will never be seen during daytime hours.

Moragi is an excellent hunter both for food and for potential threats to her Master. What makes her a terrifying hunter is her ability to utilize the Force Cloak ability.

Moragi is only loyal to Count Marlow Venjuta, thus she will not interact with no other species unless the species is a food source; then she will either kill them out of boredom or eat them when she is hungry. In regards to her hunger, she must eat once a day where most serpents can go months without food. It is unclear why this is, so it can be assumed it's a side effect from the creation process.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

During a visit to Dathomir to conduct business with the Green Mystic Nightsister Clan, he was presented with a gift from the clan Mother; a kodashi viper egg. After much deliberation, he decided to create himself a witch familiar; using both his knowledge of alchemy and rituals taught to him by the clan and Sith. When the serpent hatched, he took it to a bio-engineering lab where the scientists added a new venom gland that was capable of producing the hemotoxin venom. It took two procedures for the serpent's body to accept the new gland and begin producing the new venom.

Returning to Dathomir, he sought assistance from the clan in conducting the required ritual to enhance his female serpent, which he named Moragi. After choosing a secluded area, he drew the symbol of the House Venjuta and carefully placed the sleep induced Moragi at the center. Arranged around the symbol where some of the more stronger witches the clan possessed; and in unison they began chanting while gathering a cloud of Dark Side energy above the sleeping serpent. Following their lead, he began to chant himself while drawing forth his own Dark Side energy, while calling on the Force Cloak ability. As he slowly poured his energy into the serpent, he siphoned the energy from the cloud and filtered it through him into Moragi while lighting the thirteen Korribanian incense binding the serpent to the Dark Side energy, the Force ability, and to himself.

A red-mist like energy cocoon began to wrap itself around the serpent, glowing and humming as it blocked the reptile from the eyes of the enchanter. For three days Moragi laid asleep in the cocoon, while he watched over her. On the stroke of midnight on the fourth day, the cocoon began to fade away revealing a newly changed viper. Moragi's skin had changed, and when she opened her eyes, they were now a different color and expelling small wisps of smoke. In his mind, he saw himself through her eyes, announcing that the mental link had settled in. What he didn't expect was that she could 'read' his thoughts or better yet, understand what he was thinking. He ordered her to move through the link and she followed his orders; proclaiming she understood the language of Basic, but she could not speak.

As she slithered about, still adjusting to her new eyes, she ran afoul a sharp stone; sending pain coursing through her and him. To test a theory he formed from that display, he pricked his finger on the tip of one of his own fangs; watching her shiver from the pain. So there was a symbiotic link between them, but not in a way he had hoped. Also, it was pointed out to him by one of the witches that she could sense two identical Force signatures; one from him and one from Moragi. He wasn't sure how this would benefit either one, but it was there and there it would have to remain.

Over the course of two weeks, he discovered her internal clock had been altered as well as her immunity to the Dark Side. Not wanting to risk it, he assumed since she was a product of the Dark Side, like Sith swords and other alchemized creatures would be highly vulnerable to the Light Side. Satisfied with his new familiar, he left Dathomir for home.

How would being subjected to either a Force void field (such as that created by Ysalamir) or a Force disruption field (such as that created by Void Stone) effect the mental link between the familiar and Marlow?
