DESCRIPTION
Prototype and developed at the Denon Academy Science in 851 ABY, and field tested at Anchorhead Station, Denon Space; the Monica Coat is a modern vestment in short-range, multi-environment space suit technology. The design itself was created specifically with an 4 hour extra-vehicular activity rating in zero vacuum as well as deployment in hazardous terrestrial environments. Including dust, micro-meteor, and chemical abrasion resistance. The Smartglove itself was designed to be worn alongside the armored coat to further increase it's protective qualities. Crafted with modern armorweave materials to provide better combat durability ratings. The clear polymer helm is also laminated with a thin coating of glasteel and can be polarize at the touch of a button. This to help counter deep space flare mitigation during space walk.
The Smartglove itself can be pressurized for 4 hours of life sustainability during spacewalk when coupled with a belt-mounted life support pack. However, additional equipment can easily be added to accommodate for even more specialized durations. Equipment such as personal shielding units, radiation badges, and jump packs. However, galactic safety standards recommend duration's of no longer than 8 hours to account for common hygiene conditions and the glove's coolant replacement.
The suit must be returned to the factory in the case of repairs or damage and parts, are expected to be held on-hand and made available for the next five years.
