Intent: To create an open-market modulated armor to give mercenaries, smugglers and bounty hunters a leg up in combat
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Neuro-Saav Corporation
Model: Modulated Armor System
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: Armor panels
Production: Mass produced
Material: Armorplast plating, Fibermesh armor weave undercoat
Classification: Multipurpose

Weight: 10 kg to 20 kg depending on load-out

Quality: 5

Special Features: Neuro-Saav's armory department creates a variety of different armor pieces for this system that all interlock with one another. For a light weight armor, this system's torso pieces are all equipped with a life support system that would protect the wearer from the vacuum of space or depths of the sea for up to four hours.

Description: Built around a small modification of the SR-Body Glove, the Modulated Armor System by Neuro-Saav offers a variety of armor pieces that can be used interchangably, resulting in a unique armor system for each user. While this armor is focused on modularity and customization, the standard load-out, that would be sold to larger mercenary groups for discounted rate, is reminiscent of the standard Imperial Stormtrooper armor.

Neuro-Saav offers a variety of armor modules ranging from standard leg, arm, torso and helmets, to higher end technology. Most of the purchases are for arm modules that will include a wrist mounted weapon (flamethrower, arc welder, dart gun), or data module, that contains a datapad that links to the helmet. Additional modules are available but will need to be custom crafted.

The helmets are standard, with a variety of trim levels, but all include a range finder, comlink, IR and night vision ability and a recording system. The helmets also include a transmitter and the ability to create distances to map and measure installations and landscapes.

The leg modules are pretty simple, with compartments for additional power packs, slugs, and knives. On top of that, the boots and shins can me magnetized for use when gravity is an issue. Of course, this system needs to be activated, from the HUD of the armor located in the helmet, or if a loss of gravity is detected in the suit's torso armor, which contains a gyroscope.

The torso piece is pretty standard, containing the life support system, the gyroscope for compensation, battery pack for the modules, and releases the shield to keep an atmosphere around the user in case of vacuum ejection. Other systems can be mounted to the armor, including power packs, a heavy weapons launcher, and there are magnetic panels to hold a variety of weapons.

When an order for armor is placed, the purchaser is allowed to pick out the finish and color of the armor, including gloss, matte or pearlescent finishes. As the clientele that this armor is advertised to will be spending a lot of time in the armor, Neuro-Saav wants to make sure that they are happy with their purchase. Additionally, this armor may be sold by the module for a completely custom build.
