Description:
The Czerka HeadBanger riot gun was developed in the aftermath of the Yuuzhan Vong war. Capable of stunning a full-grown Wookiee or even a larger being, its area-of-effect stun blasts could knock out a humanoid for three to four days with even a glancing shot. The HeadBanger is, perhaps, the most powerful stungun ever created. A HeadBanger was Jorus Merrill's weapon of choice before he acquired his Mandalorian shell gun; after the shell gun's loss, he returned to his Czerka roots. With the aid of the Resu gunsmith known as the Iron Giant, the spacer Warden stripped down a HeadBanger and crammed it into a pistol format. The resulting weapon is incapable of lethal fire or putting a hole in a starship's hull (a nod to Jorus's Warden background), but can put down down small hordes of Wookiees.
Like older blaster-style riot guns, such as the CS-33 Firespray and the R-88 Suppressor -http://starwars.wiki...pray_stun_rifle - http://starwars.wiki...ssor_riot_rifle - the canonical HeadBanger has a wide area of effect, on par with a stun grenade at optimal range. The adjusted weapon maintains that area of effect, but at the cost of lower ammunition capacity and significant weight. It is almost too large and heavy for effective use as a pistol, making Jorus slow on the draw. He is no gunfighter or sharpshooter, but that doesn't matter as the weapon is nearly useless beyond twenty metres and has no 'bolt' setting. It fires gigantic stun rings, too large and diffuse to be blocked by a lightsabre.

Can I get a better idea of what the area of effect is? Is there a bleed to the area of effect? Can that be described?

The average stun grenade blast radius is 4m - http://starwars.wiki...ki/Stun_grenade - which seems, shall we say, geometrically excessive at critical range of 10m, even if it's meant to be a wide-angle riot gun. I'd imagine the blast of a canon HeadBanger would be roughly 4m wide at 10m out, and 8m wide at 20m out.
