Special Features:
Extended Barrel- The slightly longer barrel of this modified AR-70 produces a higher muzzle velocity. This allows for the projectile being fired to travel further, which slightly increases the effective range.
Under Barrel Rail- Unlike the AR-70 or the earlier AR-35, this weapon features an under barrel rail. This allows for the attachment of grips and other necessary equipment.
Grip- Thanks to the under barrel rail, a grip was able to be added to this AR-70. This attachment allows the user to maintain the weapons recoil much more effectively while also providing more comfortable firing positions.
Adjustable Stock- Originally, the AR-70 featured a fixed stock, however this new stock is able to be adjusted to suit the user. This attachment is solely here for the comfort of the firer.
4x Telescopic Sight- The fitted sight allows for more effective and suppressive fire at long ranges. This sight allows for the weapon user to see targets at ranges exceeding the natural viewing range and therefore allows for more effective and accurate fire.
Description:
This AR-70 came into Apoc’s possession shortly after he decided to seek revenge on those who had ruined his life. It was intended to be his instrument of death, and the mere sound of it’s music would cause those who stood in his way to cower in fear. The sale was made at a blackmarket in the under city of Coruscant. After a long career of using the weapon, Apoc decide it needed improving. Therefore he set off on customising.
As Apoc lacks any real knowledge of how the inner workings of the weapon preform, all the adjustments and modifications are found on the weapon’s casing. One of the main modifications to the weapon is the attachment of the under barrel rail. This under barrel rail has allowed Apoc to fit a folding grip, which in turn with increasing the comfort of the weapon when firing, also allows for more control of the recoil. Another modification is the extended barrel. The longer barrel produces a higher muzzle velocity, meaning that when a projectile is fired from the weapon it reaches a higher speed, slightly extending the distance it will travel. Evidence of this is how the effective range of the weapon has been enhanced from 550 Metres to 595 Metres. The final modification preformed by Apoc was the addition of the adjustable stock. Like with the grip, this attachment was primarily added to boost the comfort of user when firing. However, all these upgrades and modifications came at a price, as this custom AR-70 weights 0.7 Kilograms more than the factory new AR-70.
The 4x Telescopic sights that have also been fitted to this weapon were not made or modified by Apoc in any way. They are the standard issue medium ranged sight that can be found in a wide range of stores and markets. These sights can be switched out, but Apoc sees these as very reliable and is not likely to change them anytime soon.
