Special Features:
- Relatively light (for an alchemical sword), due to materials used in construction.
- Is, in fact, a Sith Sword, created using a process very closely resembling the original.
Strengths:
- Mocelsa ai Maras, being a Sith Sword, has most of the Strengths inherent in such a weapon; it has an affinity for the Dark Side, is preternaturally sharp, capable of cutting through most metals (although not with the same ease as a lightsaber, of course), its edge never dulls, it blocks lightsaber strikes, and can be used to deflect blaster bolts.
- As well, due to using Phrik instead of something like, say, the original ores and alloys for the blade, the Butcher's Bane is quite a bit lighter than typical; it's about the same weight as the same sword made of plain old Durasteel, allowing for quicker strikes and more control.
Weaknesses:
- You may have noticed that the typical "Force Lightning Absorption" power was missing from the Strengths of this particular blade. This is because it does not have that capability - when faced with Force Lightning, Mocesla ai Maras acts just like any other sword.
Description: Nisha Skaiyr has seen lightsabers. She's seen Vibroblades. She's seen a vast array of high-tech, devastating melee weapons, and she has found them all wanting. Nothing could ever compare to the feeling of a blade or a spear in your hands. To this end, she created a sword, using (a modified version of) the traditional method described in many ancient alchemical texts. Forged from a bar of phrik instead of the original alloys, the blade is light and quick in the hand. With every hate fueled hammer-blow, Nisha imbued the blade with the Power of the Dark Side, creating a blade with preternatural sturdiness and sharpness, along with adding some much needed heft. An edge ground in svolten rhyolite ensures that the sword will never chip, roll, or dull. Finally, dousing it in the blood of her enemies, Nisha completed the blade's bond to the Dark Side. Its name reflects its true purpose, and the source of the rage with which it is imbued. It is Mocelsa ai Maras, the Butcher's Bane, and with it, Nisha plans to one day end the life of the Butcher King.
