Description:

Bringing the future by living in the past, this is something that isn't said very often. But in warfare every edge one can get against their enemy is key, even if it means sacrificing a few things. This is of course the Mobile Artillery Cannon, or the MAC. The MAC brings together the best of both worlds in a artillery unit, with it's old world durability and reliability and futuristic accuracy the MAC is a key unit to success on the battlefield.

It's easy and simple to use, simply tow the MAC and it's ammunition to your desired location, set it down, pick your target, then open fire. Using a targeting computer and mechanical adjustment system the operator firing can adjust the MAC acquire marked and lazed targets from units on the battlefield and open fire with accurate information with ranges up to 22 KM.

But this is also where the old world tech comes in. If the MAC is caught in a EMP attack it can still operate perfectly fine. The targeting computer and electrical wiring that can adjust the MAC mechanically will cease to function, but the MAC has a manual pull string to fire and a crank system to adjust.

So this means the rugged artillery unit can operate under the most stressful conditions and deliver accurate and effective fire. But the project is not without it's faults.

It is a manually loaded system, this means it's a lot slower to fire. A crew can on average get off five shells a minute. The ammo also has to be drug along with it as it has no form of propulsion. Other vehicles have to be committed to tagging along with this to carry it and it is completely defenseless against close range assaults and air attacks, as it is only a cannon that has to be stationary. It won't be dodging any incoming missiles or enemy cannons once it's laid down to fire.
