Description:
MKV Dual-Pattern Judge Blaster Pistol/Slugthrower Pistols designed and by Draco Vereen. They are an advanced prototype Blaster Pistol, Slugthrower combination allowing the wielder to adapt to almost any combat situation. It is heavy, weighing one point two kilograms and twenty-four centimeters in length due to being crafted from duranium to make it a rugged and tough weapon. The blaster pistol is roughly equivalent in terms of power to an E-11 Blaster, and was effective up to twenty meters, a relatively short range. Its power pack was contained enough energy and tibanna gas for sixty bolts. The slugthrower is a high grade weapon chambered to fire 5.7×16mm case-less rounds from a double stacked 20 round magazine and a second single stacked 10 round magazine adjacent. The standard 5.7X16mm round is an armor-piercing tungsten core round surrounded by a durasteel jacket capable of punching through light and medium examples of personal armor. A selector at the rear of the block, above the grip allows the weapon to change from Blaster to Slugthrower to Special Ammunition with ease, by adjusting the selector from left, to center, to right (or vice versa for the opposite hand).

The weight seems exceptionally low. A blaster pistol is generally 1-1.5kg. You're carrying a blaster pistol and a slugthrower (with 30 tungsten bullets!!).

The standard 5.7X16mm round is an armor-piercing tungsten core round surrounded by a durasteel jacket capable of punching throw several inches of durasteel with a direct hit.

This is too much of a blank cheque for piercing armour, especially for a sidearm. I'd rather this was kept as a fairly nebulous "capable of punching through many examples of personal armour".

Who manufactures this? I assume it isn't your own character given:

(-) Uneducated: Draco lacks a formal education beyond public school, and while he tries to make up for that with experience, it is difficult to learn calculus, biochemistry, and engineering simply through exposure. He isn’t unintelligent, just oblivious to advanced subjects.

Test, design and manufacture of such a complicated weapon isn't likely to be a home job. You could slap a simple "Merr-Sonn" label on this if you wish.

My apologies that was a mistype on my part. it has been edited to 2.25 (more than the weight of a Smith and Wesson 500 with is the heaviest hand gun I know of).

Edit made. I even limited it to Light and Medium armors only, afterall it is just a 5.7 round.

I based it off the Judge Dredd Law Giver but I will research that item and elaborate the process. Give me a few hours to do so.

Yeah, worst case I will edit to work similar to the UTAS UTS-15 Shotgun. it simply has two side by side magazines you can swap between, one for slugs, one for bird, or any combination of the two.

Alright I simplified the Fire Selector so that it now works basically as a magazine selector similar to those of real world shotguns (UTAS UTS-15 and Keltec KSG). I couldn't find any even partially realistic explanation for how the Lawgiver from Judge Dredd works, so I went with something that exists.
