Production: Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Durasteel, scanner parts
Description:
Features:
--Clamp: the Mk IV Scope locks onto rifles, blaster, pistols, flame throwers, and all manner of other ranged weapons using a very strong clamp and bolt system. This can be mounted either over the barrel or under it.
--HUD integration: this unit is meant to interface with the HUD of most all units, specifically the Mk 3 Shooter Glasses. It relays intel to the HUD it is wirelessly linked to, it may be linked to one HUD at a time. This Scope is also optimized to be linked the Pers-Scann mk 2 unit.
--Optional tracker unit: these units are able to have their beacons activated, so that others of the squad may share information on their weapon status and location—or so that a person who easily misplaces their weapons may know where they are. Effective range: 30 meters. The data listed below is relayed through this unit as well.
--Data: this unit keeps track of a weapon’s remaining bullets or blaster charge respectively. It also keeps track of the weapon’s heat and warns if the weapon is in danger of overheating. The unit also is able to lock onto targets and gauge their distance—the Target Mk IV will then warn if the target is out of range. The locked upon target is outlined in a glowing color of the user’s choice, the default is a blindingly bright neon yellow. Each Target Mk IV may lock onto 1 target at a time.
--Zoom: this scope may zoom in up to x8 magnification.
--Nightvision: yep, its got it.
Primary Source: Mk 3 Shooter Glasses.

[member="James Justice"], this is pretty solid conceptually.

I might recommend some sort of a physical, rail attachment. A strong electromagnet would probably likely foul up any nearby electronics (such as those in the scope housing, the weapon, or anything that could come close to it (like a headset comlink).

Does the scope have any zoom function?
