• Able to engage opponents at vast distances, delivering contained bottles of plasma at opponents, burning through their shields and armour without risk.

 • It burns: The plasma contained within the magnetic bottle acts much as incindary weapons did back in the ancient past when wooden ships were the primary form of travel, it burns. Upon contact with an enemy vessel the plasma will burn and burn and burn, through shields and hulls with a frightening level of destructive capability.

 • I see you over there: Although the magnetic bottle containing the plasma does have a limited existence before breaking down, the speed at which the bottle travels allows it to cross vast distances of space before dissipating allowing the Mitra to engage targets all the way across a battlefield.

 • No bang: Unlike a regular railgun, the Mitra causes no damage on impact, but rather the impact of the bottle against a target releases the plasma which starts to burn through the shields and hulls of its target.

 • Dodge Dodge: The slow firing-rate of the Mitra means that an agile ship would be able to weave in and out of the shots, avoiding the damage entirely.

The plasma railgun is an old piece of technology, a staple of starship weaponry from the days of the Old Republic right to the present day. At its core, the technology is very simple, plasma is contained within a magnetic bubble which is then accelerated towards the target via the use of the railgun. The magnetic bubble only lasts so long, but due to the speed provided by the railgun, the plasma bottle is able to cross the battlefield before it breaks down, dispersing its contents into the vacuum of space.

The design of the Mitra uses the same railgun technology found on so many Locke and Key products, using the acceleration provided to provide an extra oomph to the weapon, allowing it to travel even further than one might expect.

While the Mitra may lack the powerful impact of other railguns, it’s range and the nature of the plasma it engages with means that a ship engaged by the Mitra may find itself taking severe damage before it even made its way into the range it could engage the target.

This is looking good, however you still need to list the materials this sub has been made with, under production information.
