Swarm Prince

"Uh-oh," was all that was said from the lips of the Umbaran. The J-type Star Skiff had just shot forth from hyperspace, descending into the atmosphere of Blenjeel where a merchant fleet had crashed. The two Jedi were sent to investigate and rescue all survivors. Though not everything had gone to plan. As they barrelled towards the surface of the planet, Ricardt Darkmourne became aware of a lightning storm, but all too late. The expensive yacht was rocked with turbulence, Ricardt could only rip his attention away from the viewport for a second to shout, "Buckle yourself in!"
A streak of lightning shot forth from the heavens above, cascading a waterfall of electrical currents over the skiff. The vessel trembled and buckled, the engines cut. The ship was now gliding. Ricardt alerted [member="Cable Smith"], "Damn, the cooling unit is fried and the engines are locked." Ricardt leaned over the dashboard and attempted to check the systems, "Power converter is out." He tried to thumb the ignition over and over, but it was useless. The ship was going to start for no one. He buckled himself in, drawing the harness over his chest.
The skiff was losing altitude and fast, and everything Ricardt was doing wasn't helping them in the slightest. All he could do was hold the gears tight and hope for the best. Ricardt said, "Worst case scenario . . . the skiff nose dives." With the weight of the ship and their rapid decrease of speed, that 'worst case scenario' was slowly becoming a sure thing. The front of the ship began to angle downwards, the Umbaran closed his eyes. Manipulating the energy of the force around the front, attempting to pull it up but it was too heavy for him. Before they knew it, they were skipping across sand dunes. Ricardt was thrown forward, the only thing keeping him in place was his harness.
The skiff slammed into a final sand dune, throwing a tidal wave of sand into the air. The viewport was covered in sand, there was no seeing out. Ricardt felt sudden anxiety and dread, but also adrenaline and excitement. As an archaeologist for the Jedi, such incidents as these were faced often but rarely occurred. Now he was in such a predicament, it was exhilarating and terrifying. He tried to reboot the systems but they refused to acknowledge the ignition.
