Ever read how someone looks at your character and think... "that is NOT my character".

I've had a few.

The big one is how to pronouse her name. Joe-Knee-Na. I've heard the whole gambit of weird pronunciations.

I've also have quite a few people point out "You do realize Cathar don't have tails, right?" without reading her bio, and realizing she's a custom sub-species.

Character wise, I haven't had too many instances of people misunderstanding the character, but I have had quite a few jokes lobbed at me about Jonyna's sexuality, and how open she is to the weirder side of Star Wars.

Overall, I haven't had this problem too much, and it's easier to simply correct people on this sort of stuff than get heated about it.

 

[Balun Dashiell]

Balun is often called a Jedi - Which I can't blame people for, because you could argue that I'm in denial about it, but he is my Rogue Jedi.

Very Jedi aspects:

• Raised by the New Jedi Order.
• Currently apprenticed to a Jedi of the High Republic.

Non-Jedi Aspects:

• Dated two Sith. Has a Son ( Kellan Dashiell ) to one of them who is half-Sith Spawn.
• He is a fighter, willing to push the boundaries to achieve his goal.
• He is invested in the corporate sector through his own company and various financial investments.
• Genuinely hates it when people call him a Jedi because his life was forced on him when his Mother abandoned him.

It's been amusing to write, though; a pet peeve of Balun's and a sort of societal expectation that he's constantly fighting, while at the same time not understanding where he fits in. This wasn't an intentional aspect of his character that I created, but rather a consequence of other writers' understanding of him.
