Mirrors in the Force (Phoebe Verd)

This planet was strange. Krant. It was suppossed be home and yet, as Anastasia stood on the terrace of the Verd home, all she could do was look at it as foreign. Memories rushed through her mind. She remembered well, three years ago, waking up to those memories, one by one falling into place. Faces of her parents, childhood, growing up. It was a nice gesture at best but the Templar Master had assumed it would be the first thing to fall to her mind and thus become reality. He had been wrong. There was far more in there. When she had woken up on Kamino that day, it had felt as if she had saved herself from drowning even though she had alredy drowned. She hadn't drowned, no. The spirit within her had died many death before. She had been killed by her own clone, she had been struck by the hands of her Master... there was more. Her lives... there was quite of few of them. And this form, this form was nothing more than yet another.

But it was different. Though fake memories, they had archived something no one but her two Masters had ever truly managed to accomplish. Loyalty. Anastasia's former selves had never had parents to get attached to them, her first mother had been killed as soon as she had delivered and after that, there was only cloning. But for the first time in eight hundred years, she was someone's daughter. Both in blood and in image. The blonde hair of her mother still reminded her that there was once a woman who had given birth to her, blonde hair and blue eyes; someone who was meant to be nothing more than a vessel for her and yet the genetic connection had been made, proven through the hair and eyes of the child.

A child. Had that girl still lived? Had she finally outlived her usefulness? Or perhaps she too had continued to return in new bodies as Anastasia had? Dark brown eyes gazed on all the green of the planet. And what of the child's child? The girl had potential thanks to Lena's wise chose of breeding. It would have been such a shame if the girl had lived out a single life and perished. There had been plans with her, plans she had not accomplished. And Naha'va hated nothing more than unaccomplished plans..

Now was not to time to think of things like that. Putting her palms one over the other on the railing, Anastasia cleared her mind from the past that had made her all she was today, even in the life she was now. Instead, new plans needed to be made. She was weak once again. That needed to be fixed. Capable mentors needed to be found. Perhaps one of them would become a new Master to her as her Master and Emperor had been, as Cameron Centurion had been. Or perhaps they would be of use as the child once was. She still owed that child for bringing her back once. It had taught her a thing or two of what her spirit form could accomplish. Again, she had her to think for her being here now, for being Anastasia Verd.

The female closed her eyes and began to concentrate. She dug deep into her memories, on her former lives. She did not wish to reminisce now on old plans or children, instead she dug even deeper, to her very first lessons with her first Master. He spoke often of the Force and its power, he spoke of the length one could go if they truly devoted themselves to it, if they truly believed nothing was impossible. And he had been right, her memories had been proof of that. Concentrate. The slythery and slightly disfigured voice suddenly became clear to her mind. Find the Force, call it to you. Feel with with. This is the first step to all things. Fail this and you will be useless to me. Such words motivated her then and they motivated her. She concentrated as the memory commanded and reached to the Force. Once she felt its tendrills come to her, respond to her, she let it spread, using it to feel things around her. She could once feel at great length but now, she could barely feel anything. So weak, the brief thought of her mind suddenly scorned her and made her push forward. Her hands moved slightly, grabbing tighly into the railing, concentrating further. It would listen to her, it would obey. They had danced this dance before, they would dance again over and over until it was just right.

Much of Phoebe's time was spent tending to the needs of her company. She wasn't going to be the type of CEO who just stood back and didn't get involved. She wanted to know what her engineers were thinking of creating and how that would help the Confederacy. The woman would even toss in a few ideas of her own rough as they were her people always seemed to do wonders with them. On top of this she would occasionally visit the plants and meet with the workers. If the workers were happy they would produce quality products and that was what she wanted.

In her little free time she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her little girls were growing up so fast and they really didn't need her motherly advice anymore those she still felt the need to impose said advice on them. She had been around a lot longer than any of them and knew more a great deal about the galaxy past and present. This little tid bit wasn't well known however and that was how the woman liked it. Nobody needed to know about her past life.

It wasn't often that she got the chance to spend time with her daughter, [member="Anastasia Verd"] , she seemed distant and that was her fault or at least Phoebe blamed herself. She wanted to spend time with her daughter doing whatever it was she wanted to do.

"I'm still getting used to the view myself." She stated quietly as she joined [member="Anastasia Verd"] on the terrance. This life was different she was sure for her daughter as starting over had been for her. She hoped to help guide her as she had once been guided.

Weak as she might had been, when she was no longer alone on the terrace, Anastasia had felt it. [member="Phoebe Verd"]'s signature came to her Sense crystal clear without her needing to look behind her. So when the woman approached her, commenting the view, the female hadn't been taken by surprise.

What could one say about a view like this? It wasn't all that impressive actually. Not when she had gazed on the open sea of Kamino or after having lived a brief time on a world like Naboo. Even Coruscant had its quarks. But for the sake of this little exercise, she offered a small smile to her mother then glanced ahead again. "It's something alright."

She let the silence sink in for a short bit after her words, letting her dark gaze remain on the landscape before she turned her head to the side again. "Hey, mom, are you busy right now?" The question came out in a casual manner, a pinch of that necessary teenager feeling that fitted her physical appearance. But what Anastasia was curious about was very specific and had nothing to do how she had asked it and everything to do with the woman in her presence.
