STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :

Strengths:

Familiar with War: Warfare in some manner has constitiuted much of Mirai's life and as such, Mirai has grown quite familiar with the tools of warfare. Long range rifles are her weapon of choice, however, she also has dutifully trained in all manner of combat from close quarters to guerrilla tactics. Additionally, due to her heritage, Mirai has spent multiple years in the military. Every adult must serve ten years of military service, adding to those skills learned as a child. With a history steeped in one battle or another, the Arsenians know a thing or two about warfare. This is doubly encouraged by Mirai's Eldorai instincts and Kadia.

Ace Pilot: Mirai's military training has prepared her for flying very well. Even if the ships that they could manage to scrounge up were battered pirates vessels, do not underestimate the diligence Mirai has invested into learning their systems inside and out.

Dexterity and Reflexes: Eldorai possess impressive dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Mirai has inherited these traits from her Kadia, being slightly more nimble and dexterous than her Arsenian sisters although slightly weaker in physical strength, and makes use of them through her skills in piloting and marksmanship.

Cybernetics: Mirai has undergone a few cybernetic operations in order to supplement her natural talents and additionally repair damage done to her during her military service. These cybernetics consist of nerve enhancement to decrease her reaction time, and a eye replacement. This eye is also fitted with night vision and optical measurement capabilities to enhance her sniping. (A few more cyber modifications to be revealed in story. As they are unknown to Mirai as of now.)

Mixed:

She believes in a trust system, and so once she has trust established with other individuals, she will hold you to it. If the person fails to act upon their word, she will begin to trust them less and close her heart to you.

Weaknesses:

High Maintenance: Eldorai have rapid metabolisms, and thus need to eat more than humans. This trait, along with the mannerisms have been passed to Mirai from her Kadia. This means that Mirai tends to eat more than her sisters and additionally also becomes hungrier more often.

More a Dancer than a Jock: Due to her Eldorai Kadia, Mirai's physical abilities are more suited towards swiftness, dexterity, and flexibility rather than raw physical power. As a result, she is a little weaker than her Arsenian sisters when it comes to muscle mass and strength, in exchange for being more nimble.

Cold as a Razor's edge: Due to her various scars, Mirai believes that she is always to be judged by the others around her. And therefore, she maintains a cold demeanor in order to distance herself from the pain. Melt through this though, and one finds a lonely soul desperately wishing to trust and be trusted.

Stunned: Due to her cybernetics, stun settings affect Mirai more easily and for longer periods of time. While they will not necessarily cause any damage to the systems they afflict, the stun settings will amplify due to her cybernetics essentially providing direct pathway through her body.

APPEARANCE:

(Ears are not quite so pointed)
Mirai is a tall, fair-skinned woman, standing at around 6'2" Her arms and legs are muscular but lithe, and her movements possess an eerie grace to them. The grace of a fey, flitting around the world as if part of it and yet not, aloof beyond the troubles that plague this mortal plane. In truth, that is an illusion. Mirai's body possesses a tapestry of scars that tell the tale of a difficult life. A tale of resolute independence and a desire for freedom, despite suffering injuries to self and soul. Miria is hesitant to allow anyone to see these and so hides herself behind a suit of armor. Only to those whom she fully trusts does she reveal her glinting, somber emerald gaze.

Equipment:

Caracal Stealth Suit M1
Sector Ranger Badge
Emergency Equipment pack

BIOGRAPHY:
Mirai’s story begins with a life debt between her Motia and Kadia. Her Kadia, was an Eldorai soldier by the name of Myriin. She was assigned a small patrol squadron and was tasked with patrolling Eldorai Space for piracy and criminal activity. Myriin had heard rumors of illegal activity in the area and had tracked the pirates to a small nameless asteroid belt where upon their base was hiding. Stealthily using the mess of inorganic material in the area, she flew her ships in silent mode and landed upon the nearby asteroids. Silently, her soldiers had filed out in vac suits. In keeping the advantage of surprise Myriin and her forces endured the weightless emptiness of space, using only short bursts of propulsion jets to land themselves on the platform protruding from the hangar. With the quick hiss of a blaster, the two guards stationed outside the door crumpled. Air leaked from their suits as Myriin and her soldiers pushed inside, breaching the airlock with a slicing tool. A short firefight ensued, after which Myriin stood victorious. However, the pirates had sent the signal for reinforcements.

Ships began dropping out of hyperspace. Ten ships as compared to Myriin’s measly three. She had begun to suspect an ambush. Blaster fire filled the vacuum of space as Myriin and her troops had begun to fire upon the hostile force, utilizing their present location as an asset. The station trembled with the recoil of anti-craft gun turrets and the impacts of the pirates’ own weapons. In the first few minutes of combat, Myriin and her forces had eliminated three vessels.
Now was when the battle would start to shift, tipping favor towards the pirates. As powerful blaster cannons shook the station, a particularly lucky shot had managed to hit the power pack of the western turret. Sparks and fire roared to life, consuming the west arm of the station before being sealed by the bulkheads. Myriin and her remaining troops grimly continued to fire upon the enemy, taking out another two ships. And yet, it was a battle that Myriin would have bravely and resolutely lost, dragging as many of the pirate scum with her as she could.

Fortunately help arrived just in time. The battle had been picked up by an Arsenian vessel, due to the pirate’s hyperjumps, which upon seeing the designation of the pirates began firing upon them immediately. This unexpected flank, exposed the pirates to vulnerability which Myriin would capitalize on. Seeing as the Arsenians had saved her own life and the lives of her forces, Myriin would swear a life debt to the Arsenian captain, Aluya Resai. She ordered her troops to return without her and effectively went rogue. Her troops understanding the implications of Myriin’s debt, would follow her orders, claiming that their captain had valiantly sacrificed herself in order to save their lives.
This relationship would eventually transition into the intense force bond between Mirai’s parents, and a few years later Mirai was born. Mirai would come to have a slightly different childhood as compared to other Arsenian children, having learned early on that she couldn’t match them in strength. But none could boast her dexterity or speed either. She found herself naturally gravitating towards the inclinations of a markswoman and pilot and was rolled into the Arsenian fleet at the culmination of her teenage years.
It was during that service that she would come to realize the full extent of her mother’s actions. On an unnamed planet, fire and smoke filled the air. Mirai had simply come here to replenish supplies for the troops. She hadn’t been expecting any trouble and had decided to stop for a drink at the cantina. How could I have been so stupid? Always expect trouble. Mirai remember sitting down by the windows when suddenly a bolt of energy ripped through the window, shattering and melting the glass that she was holding. Mirai dove for cover engaged now in a firefight with someone on the opposite rooftops. The hiss of blaster fire filled the air. Giving herself cover fire, she extricated herself from the bar and into the alley through the side door. But another surprise awaited her there, a bounty hunter searching to capture her for the Eldorai, alive. They suspected her of being connected to her mother, who they had found out had not died in battle. A quick shot neutralized that threat, but the other now had a bead on her position. Enraged by his partner’s death, he threw a thermal grenade into the alleyway. A searing pain, a dull impact, and then the sweet apathy of unconsciousness followed.

Mirai awoke on the slab of an operation’s table. Leering at her, a spindly man in a white coat loomed over her. “Ah, wonderful. The patient is awake.” He said, as he steepled his fingers into a point. It was there that Mirai would discover that this man was what was known as a butcher, a cybernetic doctor. “You see, it was fortunate that I found you. You could have been dead, yes. Yes. Dead, if I had not given you a few upgrades.” Mirai sat up slowly, trying to wrap her head around this. Groaning, she felt as if she had a very bad headache. Strange patterns ran through her vision, calculating distance and velocity. “You pay now?” The doctor intoned eerily. “But I have no money?” Mirai questioned, tensing as she started to feel uncomfortable. “Oh, don’t worry. I have my payment.” The doctor started to raise something towards her. A collar of some kind. Mirai reacted, reaching for one of the tools on the table. Her fingers closed on a scalpel, one which soon found itself imbedded in the eye of its previous owner. Not wishing to extend her stay, Mirai hurriedly gathered her equipment and exited the eerie lab.

Only to face having to explain why she had left her post for so long. Mirai had tried to explain, but saw that she was met with disbelief. To her superiors, she had broken the code and would need to undergo the trials of honor. Ten more years of service to the Arsenian military. Bresheia had given her a mixed bag of blessings and curses. Mirai didn’t mind the service, but she could feel the frigidness of the service members she knew intensify, and the ramifications of her cybernetic treatment, the mask she had now retreated behind. Hoping perhaps someone might not be as cold, Mirai searches for a transfer to another ship.
