Intent: To create a droid to be used in public transports

Manufacturer: LOOM
Model: PR Model
Affiliation: LOOM, purchasers
Modularity: Adjustable software to fit the needs of a particular person or company, parts are easily replaceable in the case of damage
Production: Mass produced
Material: Durasteel, Bronzium finish, Repulsorlift components, reinforced droid components

Classification: Fourth degree with pieces of third and fifth
Weight: 70 kg
Height: 1.8 m
Movement: Bipedal, Repuslorlift
Armaments: Superior physical strength
Misc. Equipment: Translator, basic shield array, communications link

Strengths:
Strong enough to break through weaker bulkheads if required
Capable of defeating most organics in a fist fight
Pass emergency information immediately when required
Weaknesses:
Little specialization for combat
Ranged/Ionic weapons incredibly effective
Higher order thought processes beyond its grasp
Prioritizes passengers over itself

Description: The Militae, or Halos due to the construct above their head, were built specifically for organic relations. Unlike most of Ultimatum’s inventions, the Halos are made with the explicit goal being interacting with organics. Ultimatum believed that public and luxury transports could utilize terminals that more easily facilitated the transfer of knowledge.

To this end, these droids were built with a more aesthetically pleasing appearance and less antagonizing voice. The droids are made to speak as concisely as possible, to the point of even using incorrect grammar in order to get across information. For the most part the Halos will remain silent, as if they are part of the decorations, and will only respond to direct questions or the necessity of giving out emergency information.

Beyond this their most important mission is to maintain the safety of passengers and personnel aboard the vessels that they are stationed in. However, they are not built for combat. Their shields are intended to allow the droid’s survival in harsh environments, and is only strong enough to absorb a stray blaster bolt but little more.

Their internal mechanisms are reinforced in order to give the droid more strength and durability. Should a door be sealed and someone on the other side require help, this droid can pull or push through most weakened bulkheads. They are capable of defeating most organics in hand to hand combat due to their immense strength, however should the person be well versed in this form of combat it is more than likely that they could overpower one of these droids. They are vulnerable to most forms of electronic warfare and ranged weapons. They are programmed to defend against boarders, using facial recognition to differentiate between friend and foe.

There is nothing special about their software security so overriding is no issue for a person versed in that field. They are all connected to the ship’s computer, allowing for one to take command from the bridge if necessary. The Halos come with a digital package which is uploaded to the vessels computer, it contains the codes and manuals on the care of the droid and replacement of parts. It also contains override commands should captain of the ship require the droids to do some task beyond their usual.

Allons-y! ^_^

Could you link the company under manufacturer?

From the weaknesses I think you meant weak bulkheads/doors here as well, but I may be wrong, can you clarify please? Also, and this is merely a suggestion, perhaps adding an integrated fusioncutter would allow them to more easily get to passengers in need while not adding any real weaponry to their arsenal?

Do they have any kind of combat programming to allow them to more effectively fight a trained martial artist or would they struggle against someone with training?

Thanks and looks good otherwise!

Thanks.

Alright linked the company.
Changed the hull to "weakened bulkheads".
Finally added the following to the sentence directly after the quoted sentence on hand to hand combat,
"however should the person be well versed in this form of combat it is more than likely that they could overpower one of these droids."

This is a third degree droid, which should have no combat programming whatsoever.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Third-degree_droid
A third-degree or class three droid was a droid programmed for interaction with organic beings in services such as child care, diplomacy, interpreting, teaching, and the social sciences. Protocol droids and service droids were third-degree droids.
A fourth-degree droid is a battle droid and would be programmed for combat.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Fourth-degree_droid
A fourth-degree or class four droid was a droid programmed for military and security purposes. Such droids tended to perform tasks wherein violence or combat might be expected. Class four droids were grouped into four major categories: security droids, which were used to guard locations; gladiator droids, which were designed to battle other droids; battle droids, which were the most common variety and used in standard combat; and assassin droids, the only variety expressed designed to kill organics.

It is not that this droid is programmed to fight, if required to its sole advantage is really the fact that its strength is far greater than organics. It is effectively the same as if one were to send construction droids into a fight. I can make the change if you would still like, just trying to explain it first.

More to the point, a class three droid would generally be a protocol droid, which is designed specifically for communications rather than manual labor or defense.

Security droids (which is what would be defending people on these transports) are class four droids.

Manual labor droids (those meant to move large objects or clear debris) would be class five.

A class three droid should not be able to do any combat at all, and a perfect example of a class three droid is C-3PO.

What you are looking at is more or less a class four droid with some class five programming, which I would be perfectly fine with you labeling as Class Four.
