Description: The Militae, or Halos due to the construct above their head, were built specifically for organic relations. Unlike most of Ultimatum’s inventions, the Halos are made with the explicit goal being interacting with organics. Ultimatum believed that public and luxury transports could utilize terminals that more easily facilitated the transfer of knowledge.
To this end, these droids were built with a more aesthetically pleasing appearance and less antagonizing voice. The droids are made to speak as concisely as possible, to the point of even using incorrect grammar in order to get across information. For the most part the Halos will remain silent, as if they are part of the decorations, and will only respond to direct questions or the necessity of giving out emergency information.
Beyond this their most important mission is to maintain the safety of passengers and personnel aboard the vessels that they are stationed in. However, they are not built for combat. Their shields are intended to allow the droid’s survival in harsh environments, and is only strong enough to absorb a stray blaster bolt but little more.
Their internal mechanisms are reinforced in order to give the droid more strength and durability. Should a door be sealed and someone on the other side require help, this droid can pull or push through most weakened bulkheads. They are capable of defeating most organics in hand to hand combat due to their immense strength, however should the person be well versed in this form of combat it is more than likely that they could overpower one of these droids. They are vulnerable to most forms of electronic warfare and ranged weapons. They are programmed to defend against boarders, using facial recognition to differentiate between friend and foe.
There is nothing special about their software security so overriding is no issue for a person versed in that field. They are all connected to the ship’s computer, allowing for one to take command from the bridge if necessary. The Halos come with a digital package which is uploaded to the vessels computer, it contains the codes and manuals on the care of the droid and replacement of parts. It also contains override commands should captain of the ship require the droids to do some task beyond their usual.
