DESCRIPTION
Designed solely in support of the Mesen'loras project, the Mesen'yai station is a unique product of Mandal Hypernautics placed in orbit over Ord Cestus. The stations large, egg-like shape is fitting for the role it plays in the Mesen'loras project. Individual Prowler calves are brought into the station and placed within its massive, shielded internal hanger.
The ship is essentially a massive Cloning Tank put into orbit. Powerful Hydrostatic and Deflector shielding provides a safe, womb-like environment for the Mesen'loras calf to be contained. Soothing minerals and gasses are pumped into the shielded chamber alongside bacta and special growth hormones to aid in the process of rapidly accelerating the physical aging of the creature.
Numerous tractor beams are built into the ceiling of the Mesen'yai's specialized hanger to help keep the dreaming Mesen'loras from hurting itself or damaging the ship. A team of 24 scientist monitor the status of the calf from the extensive medical bay of the station. Once the calf matures enough to undergo cybernetic modifications, the additional 12 scientists utilize the resources of the extensive science bay to safely enact the desired augmentations to the young Mesen'loras. Numerous DRD's and other droids support the augmentation process and many remain with the calf as a part of its crew complements after it has finished 'birthing' from the Mesen'yai Station. New droids and supplies are brought in after each successful project and a new calf is selected to undergo the forced maturity procedure.
