The sun was setting over Canto Bight, yellows, reds, and blues starting to mingle with the darkness of space over the ocean. Faint little stars could be made out in the darker parts of the sky. The parties in the clubs, casino's and bars were just starting and the thrumming of the music could not yet be heard. It was a moment of peace, much like the calm before the storm of war. A quiet had set over the city of the privileged and criminal.
An estate that had sat empty for a long time now, now had its lights on. Yet those that had lived here, lived here no longer. It had once been a place where two sisters found each other and forged a bond that was meant to last until eternities end. Yet nothing ever lasted, lives always fell to ruination.
It was now the root of that family's destruction that dwelled within that once happy home. It lived on but those that had once been, faded. It sat on the Balcony overlooking the ocean, watching the sunset. It sipped on some drink with a weird little umbrella in it. It wore the face of someone who had once lived here but it was not her. Well not exactly her anyway, genetically they were identical.
This malevolent figure of ruination, just sat sipping her drink staring out at the sunset over the ocean. She didn't even think about those that once lived here, they were dead. They didn't even really exist did they? They were just a figment of false memories she stole from a foolish child.
They were just to more face, in the endless sea of faces she had seen fade. As Tegan sat there all she thought about was the next world that fall to the dark. After all that is all, she had, her eternal war with fate, the will, or whatever you want to call the thing that had broken this reality. She had no sympathy or time for the dead especially two foolish children who broke their promise to each other.
She just sipped her drink looking out at that sun that would fade one day slowly sink into the ocean.
